I figure if your music makes my car shake, it's too damn loud.

Talk about your stomping on the 4th amendment.

How would you like it if I walked up to you in the mall and started screaming in your ear at the top of my lungs? That is the same exact thing. Cars with amplified base in them are an invasion on everyone within 50 feet.

don't have a radio in my truck, wouldn't allow a company truck to ever have a radio, and radios on the job were cause to be fired!

I'm guessing you never got a supervisor of the month award.

I don't give out such useless things, besides I wouldn't pay for it to give it to myself since I owned the company.

Anyone that mouthed off was automatically fired, never left the office without a payroll checkbook in my pocket.

While I find such noisy cars annoying to the point where I would open fire if I could get away with it, I don't like nanny-state laws.

I comfort myself that the owners of rolling boom-boxes have two problems coming.

1. All that vibration is bad for their vehicle. Bolts and welds will loosen under this constant assault. The muffler will fall off.

2. By the time they are my age, they won't be half-deaf like me. They will be stone-deaf.

Now, you are saying that I should support giving any person with a badge the authority to impound my car, without the benefit of due process, witnesses or any kind of evidence, proof or recording instrument?

The officer will testify to what he heard/saw, that is the evidence. I realize there are some rouge coppers out there. Now if he lies and impounds your vehicle that is wrong. Due process comes in when you appear at the impound hearing and tell your side. I'm sure where you live the police department must have some type of office that looks into police misconduct. My suggestion is contact them with your complaints. As for using a recording instrument to obtain evidence, that is probably a question of economics, some departments not being able to equip vehicles due to lack of funds. So I guess you are stuck with having to trust that the police wont put a case on you.

Not only can you hear them at 2am, they will also make a baby monitor go crazy. So if the stereo doesn't wake you up, then the screeching baby monitor might.

Perhaps you haven't noticed that police prefer to stop middle-aged while men. That's a FACT not MHO!

I'm assuming you meant white men. Why would you think that?

I haven't had the pleasure of that. I have had the pleasure of calling the police with licenses numbers after they wake me up. (*&()&)#$#ERE$%#$#$#

Got that right.. loud and low thumping sound waves penetrate the ears deeply. They have no right to blast music if it interrrupts the quiet. Blasting these speakers at night is obnoxious. Bring that law to my town.

If you lived on a main street where every other car passing with their windows down playing music so loud that the window vibrate. Well then maybe you would think different about someone trying to atleast get a little relaxation at there home. Where else is a person supposed to relax after a day at work. These people that pass by the house have no respect for anything. They want to listen to there music as loud as they can play it. I think that is fine go out in the country and play the thing till it blows up. At least that way they are the only ones that hear all that stupid noise.
