Texas Sheriff says Mexican army has threatened his deputies and their families
KVIA TV 7 El Paso (ABC) ^ | 020106 | CAWats

In the past few days, Hudspeth County Sheriff's Department deputies and their families have received threats to stay off the Rio Grande. Sheriff Arvin West told ABC-7 Thursday morning, before departing for Houston that the Mexican military is behind all of this.

Sheriff West said, "There is no doubt in my mind -- from the first time going back to a couple of years ago and every time in between --- it's the Mexican military. In a nutshell, everybody's been trying to tell everybody that they were here...they've been here ...[and] they come here quite often, regularly."

"Armed uniformed incursions should be dealt with immediately and firmly with rockets and gunfire. This is an armed invasion. "Absolutely! It's an act of war on their part. ME MUST RESPOND!

"Unlike many here I do not have a hatred towards the Mexican people."

This has nothing to do with hate. It's an invasion. An act of war. The Mexican military with weapons! What part of 2+2=4 don't you get?

It can be 10 times worse and nobody is going to do a damn thing about it on the hill. Why? Because damn near every major city in the US would be in flames from Latino gangs and the like. There is too much risk because the Mexican invasion has gone on far too long.

I hate to be negative but this is how it seems to me. I may be wrong and I hope that I am.

All Mexican troops on US soil should be treated as an invading army, and annihilated.

This is so damned stupid. I'd love to follow the money trail and see why the insanity makes sense, to those in receipt of the cartel $$$.

Good to see a voice of reason on this subject, D1

You know what, putting lipstick on a pig doesn't make it a pageant contender.

Add a little eyeshadow and toe nail polish and it's horse of a different color...

Yeah. My last two jobs, one much of the workforce spoke spanish and only a few spoke English (it was a diecasting plant) and the other one, while most spoke English, they were a bunch of namby pamby accomodationists that would flip product over to show the spanish language labels over English (that was Wal Mart). At least my current job I deal with English speakers 100% of the time!

He can order the TX Hwy patrol and TX Rangers (the detectives not the baseball team) to post units near the borders)... Since those are civilian agencies, it is therefore out of the right of the President to order them to stand down.. Also, since a county Sheriff is the highest authority law enforcement officer within his jurisdiction, order his deputies to the border or establish special border deputies for each county and arm them to the teeth... Dare the POTUS, Congress, or the Mexican army to cross them.

Bush doesn't need to worry about impeachment over Iraq or NSA eavesdropping. But he had better be worrying aabout this. He can be thankful the Democrats are (for now) on the side of open borders. If that changes and they team up with Tancredo and others in the GOP, it will be trouble for him. Particularly if there's some terror incident that can be traced back to our wide open borders.

Sounds like a nice hand held rocket launcher could help the police on the American side.

The issue is much bigger than desperate people looking for work. The Mexican military is helping drug gangs smuggle their goods and commit acts of violence. It has been that way a long time in Mexico and now the violence is spilling over into the U.S.

Mexico itself has become a war zone thanks to the drug gangs and a corrupt government and now this war is spreading to the U.S. Things will not get better until the Mexicans overthrow their narco overlords. That is unlikely to happen anytime soon so we must improve our border to isolate us from the narco war to the south.

The bario effect cannot be explained. It has to be experienced.

Like Compton, but it's all in Spanish.
