More self-defeat coming from the State Department. Let's just cut to the chase and run the Crescent and Star over the Capital Building.

The United States backed Muslims on Friday against European newspapers that printed caricatures of the Prophet Mohammad in a move that could help America's battered image in the Islamic world.Since when has kowtowing helped?

Had the state department said something to the effect of "this cartoon is just as offensive as the typical cartoons found in al jazeera and the press of many muslim countries in their depictions of Jews and Christians," then I would have applauded the spokesman.

As an European, how can I respect the US gov. anymore?
WMD: lies.
Democracy in Iraq: lies.
Etc....
The US my family used to respect and love are gone.
It's all over now.
Goodbye, and good luck to you all.
WMD wasn't a lie.
Here's a link.
Even ONE sarin shell being found is proof of WMD.

"These cartoons are indeed offensive to the belief of Muslims," State Department spokesman Kurtis Cooper said in answer to a question.
"We all fully recognize and respect freedom of the press and expression but it must be coupled with press responsibility. Inciting religious or ethnic hatreds in this manner is not acceptable."
Oh, well then. Good thing no ther dieties are ever the subjects of such fare. Oh, wait...
This is disgusting bias by the federal government favoring one religion over another. Images of God and Jesus are free reign but don't mess with Mohammed. I am livid.

Anti-Muslim images are as unacceptable as anti-Semitic images, as anti-Christian images or any other religious belief," State Department spokesman Sean McCormack told reporters.
What the hell? I can't turn on my television without a deluge of anti-Christian, anti-Jewish toxicity pouring out all over the carpet. It's bloody open season on Christians and Jews in this benighted damned country.
Perhaps we should start assassinating our enemies too.
