From the quoted paragraph on Powerline: "These cartoons are very mild commentary by any standard."

They are, indeed, quite mild. Who the heck knows why the Islamofreaks got their shorts in a twist over them. It's not because they can't show Mohammed's likeness, because it's been shown countless times over the centuries.

Thank you for paying attention to this story, Wolfstar.

You're welcome, Peach. As someone who's makes a living with the written word, I treasure free speech too much to cave to the Islamofreaks. I've been spreading around the cartoons as much as I can. I've also tried to quickly tamp down those on FR who, for some bizarre reason, wanted to question the legitimacy of the protest photos from London.

Healthy skepticism is a useful thing, but some folks tilt over into something silly.

Watched earlier today Wolf Blitzer on Situation Room-CNN report on the Euro cartoons. Wolfie said CNN was pixelizing the 'toon so as not to offend muslims by showing a likeness to Mohammed

I wonder if CNN was as sensitive during the outrageous desecration of Christ in the NY "art" episode?

Indeed---there are mini Third Reichs-in-the-making all over Europe, especially France. This time they have welcomed the virus in, though, as though they never tire of burdening themselves with impossible historical tasks.
The British Muslims, though, are the most unbelievably mouthy and aggressive lot I've ever seen. And the British just can't find it in themselves to deal with these "people" the only way that makes sense. They should be DEPORTED back to their countries of origins, British, (or French) citizens, or not. Unless France, Britain, Germany, Belgium,Denmark, Sweden, Holland, et. al. want to deal with this completely unnecessary problem THAT WILL NOT GO AWAY, they are signing their own death certificates as cultures that once had something to offer the world. This could be a serious project for the EU,but only if they recognize it as such. I think economists in each country should sit down together and figure out a way to yes, PAY OFF and DEPORT these murderous troublemakers: Give each of them 50 thousand dollars, and send them back home. It may strain the economies to the breaking point, but only then will they BE ABLE TO GET BACK WHAT THE IDIOTIC POLICIES DRIVEN BY THEIR HOLLOW LIBERAL ZEAL HAVE TAKEN AWAY FROM THEM. If the Governments of Europe don't take care of this problem, it's collective citizenries will have to, because it is they who are getting the brunt of the Muslim hatred, and paying dearly for their countries' official policy of "inclusion". Nothing can be accomplished with these governments so completely in denial: I assure you, if homegrown American Muslims had perpetrated the kinds of bombings London saw a while ago, half the mosques would be burned down in this country before you could say "Mohammed is an asshole".

"Europe deserves its fate"

I have family there and it pains me to see it, but they are doomed unless they wake up soon and expel these animals.

Sorry, but that is simply not true. Do you know any native speakers of Arabic? I do--Christians, not Muslims. Allah is the elision of the article al (the) with ilah (god). In Arabic words sort of mash together, for instance the beginning of Koranic suras are always 'Bismillah', which means 'in the name of God'.

'Allah' means 'the god', and is completely equivalent to the Greek 'ho theos', meaning 'the god', with the definite article giving the same sense as the English capital letter in 'God', indicating the unique deity.

The Christian Trisagion prayers, which begin "Holy God" in English, "Hagios ho theos" in Greek, begin "Qudduson Allah" in Arabic.

Good, though it is to overthrow the false depiction of God offered by the false prophet Mohammed, it should not be done by lies, not even lies about Arabic linguistics.

See my post 110. As a subdeacon of the Antiochian Orthodox Christian Archdiocese, with an Arab American for a bishop, and Christian Arabs in my church, despite not being a native speaker of Arabic, I know a bit more about the subject than anti-Islamic propaganda circulated in other churches. (And yes, propaganda can be deployed in a good and just cause like the defeat of Islam.)

I'm sure I'm not the only one who noticed that the "handwriting" on all the signs is........identical.

You're right, good eyes!

No, you are not. I noticed the handwriting immediately. It is the same and so crystal clear that the first thing I wondered if it is photoshopped. Have you seen these pictures from other sources? I'm still wondering... In the event it is authentic - I'm speechless. Normally I can always come up with some smart crack but I'm speechless now. I think every time I leave the house I'm going to spit towards Mecca. I wanted to find a new hobby in 2006 anyway.

The same person made many of those signs. Note the unique scripting - especially the letter "m".

I see, then what was the moon god in Mecca's name? Or was there no moon god involved in Mohammedanism?
