About 1,000 people gathered in rain-swept Washington, D.C. today at an anti-Bush rally organized by the World Can't Wait, a front group for the Revolutionary Communist Party.
Held on the grounds of the Washington Monument, the rally capped a week of activities by the group demanding President Bush leave office immediately because of their opposition to the Iraq war and other Bush policies.
The organizers planned for a crowd in the tens of thousands, but as the photos below show, they spent a whole lot of money planning for people who never showed.
One woman who did attend the rally made it all worthwhile them, though. She carried a poster that featured a blood-dripping beheaded President Bush.

If that woman carrying the "head" sign were to be depicted in similar fashion, she'd have you in court looking for a restraining order.
See her smile? She's off her meds.

And these folks saw nothing wrong with Waco or anything else about the Clinton White House. It is troubling to see people so incredibly out of touch with reality.

My brother and I were being fairly juvenile as we passed the anti-Bush rally here in New York before the RNC Convention in 2004.
We chanted: "What do we want? SOAP! When do we need it? NOW!"

In all due respect, Kritsinn, you all give these people more publicity than the MSM.
Who cares what they had on their signs? I can guarantee you if I ask fifty people tomorrow not one will know anything about their little protest up in DC today.
And they do fall under the aegis of the same Bill of Rights that all Americans do. So like it or not they've a right to be there.
Also, it's my opinion that these folks, via their protestations, actually help our side more than positively promote their own agenda. Most people have a negative of opinion of these characters.

A threat to cut off "W"'s head hardly falls within the Bill of Rights.
And with the ol'gal carrying the sign obviously a headjob, betcha' the SS will be checking this out right about now........... ring ring... ring ring....

Problem is that if the leftist tantrum is ever mentioned, it's usually in the MSM as a rousing success with massive support. They use a quick news bite to show it with a better turnout than it had. Sometimes coming here is the only way you'll get the truth.

Protest Warriors with some FReepers and lots of GW students showed up to counter the dingbats. Even had 2 wounded vets from Walter Reed show up. The one in the wheelchair had to leave early because he was getting wet and cold.
Hopefully someone does an AAR on the counter rally in Lafayette Park.
