WASHINGTON, DC, Feb. 3, 2006Last week's FReep was the third in our newly captured territoryall four corners of Walter Reed Army hospital's main gatethe DC Chapter having outsmarted Code Pink in mid-January, when after 40 weeks of counterprostests, the DC Chapters of FreeRepublic and Protest Warrior finally drove the Pinko womyn and associated quislings away from the gates. Our side, supporters of the troops and the mission outnumbered by three-to-one the pitiful remnants of Code Pink's newly-relocated "vigil" 'way down the blockthey are out of our brave heroes' faces now!
What's even better is that many more wounded troops and their wives, parents or supportive friends now come out of the hospital, whether on foot, on crutches or in wheelchairs, to stand with us against domestic enemies. Passing cars and trucks now serenade us all evening long, beeping in support and high-fiving out the windows. No wonder the libmedia stays awaythe joy and fervor of the support we receive gives them the big, fat lie.
Especially touching is the sight of newly wounded servicemen or women arriving by ambulance or helicopter. Some have reported that they could see us out the window as they arrived, and it gave the wounded comfort knowing they would not to have to pass by the anti-war ghouls' messages alone.
We've won the battle for strategic territory at Walter Reed; but the war's not over. We need to keep FReeper numbers strong, to defend the gates of Walter Reed from re-encroachment by anti-war socialists.
Our usual correspondent, BillF, is having a computer melt-down this week. BillF will post a complete report with photos and the attendance list of last week's FReep in coming days, but for now, he has asked me to remind all FReepers and lurkers within driving distance of northern Washington, DC, to...
Why, thank you! How are you feeling? Will you be with us tomorrow evening?
Just a touch of Cherry-Vanilla ChapStick might be in order to give your lips that rosy glow (and protection from ice and wind).
Seriously, bundle up this week and fashion be . . . . . you know what!
FReep On! God Bless Our Troops, God Bless President Bush and God Bless AMERICA!
Thank you -- we thoroughly enjoyed visiting with our old FReeper FRiends and making new FReeper FRiends.
We'll do it again, REAL SOON NOW!
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! We'll be there again, REAL SOON NOW!
Enjoyed our phone chat FRiday night -- hope to see you on the FRont lines again REAL SOON NOW!
Thanks for the ping! Mrs. Taxman and I thoroughly enjoyed Four Corner FReeping with you and the DC Chapter last FRiday night. Sorry we can't join you tomorrow night, but we'll be there again, REAL SOON NOW!
Another Taxman Bravo Zulu for all you and the DC Chapter does for our FRee Republic!
But of course I will be there tomorrow!
Excellent! The only disadvantage to the four-corner FReeping is that you can totally miss seeing some of the people unless you walk around all four corners during the evening. Last week, for instance, I totally missed meeting Sensei Ern and his wife.
Also, Plea Deal is out of town and Landry is under the weather. So we need all hands on deck. Y'all reading this, come on down!
DC-area FReepers are my heroes!
bttt
Ha! The official DC Chapter taste-tester: tgslTakoma!
God bless America and God bless these people! Try to give them as many hugs as possible on behalf of us grateful supporters out here in Flyover Country.
Yep, it's Valentine's weekend, and we will be giving out lotsa brotherly love!
Please put me on your ping list.
One of "my scouts" was at Bethesda in April of 04. Our BSA troop gave him a hero's welcome when he flew home.
Will do!
Did you say Landry Fan was not feeling well?
Landry Fan, hope she is incorrect.....maybe quickly on the mend? I know you will not want to miss the FREEP!
and now a few words for the code pinkos lurking on this site
and you know we know you lurk,
with apologies to Big and Rich
"I saddle up my horse and I ride into the citay
