WASHINGTON, DC, Feb. 3, 2006Last week's FReep was the third in our newly captured territoryall four corners of Walter Reed Army hospital's main gatethe DC Chapter having outsmarted Code Pink in mid-January, when after 40 weeks of counterprostests, the DC Chapters of FreeRepublic and Protest Warrior finally drove the Pinko womyn and associated quislings away from the gates. Our side, supporters of the troops and the mission outnumbered by three-to-one the pitiful remnants of Code Pink's newly-relocated "vigil" 'way down the blockthey are out of our brave heroes' faces now!
What's even better is that many more wounded troops and their wives, parents or supportive friends now come out of the hospital, whether on foot, on crutches or in wheelchairs, to stand with us against domestic enemies. Passing cars and trucks now serenade us all evening long, beeping in support and high-fiving out the windows. No wonder the libmedia stays awaythe joy and fervor of the support we receive gives them the big, fat lie.
Especially touching is the sight of newly wounded servicemen or women arriving by ambulance or helicopter. Some have reported that they could see us out the window as they arrived, and it gave the wounded comfort knowing they would not to have to pass by the anti-war ghouls' messages alone.
We've won the battle for strategic territory at Walter Reed; but the war's not over. We need to keep FReeper numbers strong, to defend the gates of Walter Reed from re-encroachment by anti-war socialists.
Our usual correspondent, BillF, is having a computer melt-down this week. BillF will post a complete report with photos and the attendance list of last week's FReep in coming days, but for now, he has asked me to remind all FReepers and lurkers within driving distance of northern Washington, DC, to...
Come out and support our troops
this Friday, Feb. 10,
at Walter Reed Army Medical Center,
6900 Georgia Avenue at Elder Street NW.
We set up at 6:45 and order pizza for those interested.
Hot drinks are available on NE corner.

Parking on nearby residential streets East of Georgia Avenue.
Our troops have given so much for our freedom!
Come and cheer them and their families!

Looks like you are going to have quite a few folks by the conversations I have been having. Some are giving up their tickets to tonight's banquet to join the 4 Corners Rally.

A while back Kirby Wilbur (a conservative talk-show host from Seattle area) mentioned he would be in town (presumably for CPAC) and might join us.

Coop, he just told me to tell you he received your message. As of right now he is planning to show up, barring anything unforeseen at this moment.
Nice guy.

Sorry all, curiosity got the better of me and I went to Code Pink's website ( didn't want to give them any web traffic ) to confirm earlier information in threads here that they've stopped posting reports of their "vigils" at Walter Reed.
As reported in earlier WR Freep threads, they still have not updated since Dec 2. IIRC the next week, they lost the corner. As leftists do with all bad news, they just ignore it. Don't bother to go their site as all their reports somehow try to make their group the only ones who care about our troops. I wonder if even they believe what they're shoveling.
Good job all.

I won't be able to make it either. I have a cold. For the past few nights, I have been in bed and asleep by 2000 hours.
As soon as I can, I will post the shots I too at the rally.
