This call just rang into my home phone just an hour or so ago:
"Do you approve of George Bush illegally wiretapping innocent American citizens? Push 1 for yes, push 2 for no."
"Would you support a candidate that support George Bush's illegal wiretapping of innocent American citizens? Push 1 for yes, push 2 for no."

No, but not surprising.
This is an example about how you cannot trust polls.

It did not say who paid for it. It's the latest in a series of phone calls in the last several months like this...the last one was an old lady blaming Rep. Ron Lewis (R-KY) for her high gas bill.

Push 1 for yes, push 2 for no.A Push Poll in more ways than one.

It's all part of the FISA court's compromise plan. If you selection option 1, they are free to wiretap your phone. Option 2 will require them to go through the normal warrant process. It's the best solution in an imperfect world.

No, I've not received anything of the sort. Although I don't get phone calls like that as I only have a cell phone and no land line, and I don't generally have a problem with marketing/polling calls (at least for now).

Got one last night, included 2 questions about my local congressman:
1) "Do you support his support of President bush"
2) "Would you vote for [insert congresscritter here] again?"

Anyone voting yes is stupid and easily duped. Voting no shows a dedication without interest.

Why would an innocent person be getting calls for terrorists or placing them?

There's nothing quite like "framing the issue" by being idiotic.
At least when it comes to "polling."

I had a similar one a while back. What was so funny is it asked all the questions to my answering machine.

Geesh.
Next poll question: If you think President Bush is the anti-Christ, Press 1. If you think he is Hitler, Press 2.
Thank you for voting in our poll!
