Flying a jet into the Ren Center in Detroit probably wouldn't do it. Flying a jet into the heart of Southfield, Birmingham or Troy, OTOH, would be a different story. Those 'burbs are the economic powerhouses in the state and are all in Oakland County.
It would be truly ugly and hurt the state more than a hit on Detroit would.

Totally agree. If Nagin had used the buses BEFORE Katrina hit, there wouldn't have been as many issues. He and Blanco were supposed to organize the first responders NOT Pres Bush or FEMA.

I hope that they are as diligent in investigating those reporters as they have been against Scooter Libby in that silly Plame case. The NY Slimes has told the enemies about Sources and Methods!. And I wish folks would point out that the FISA warrant needs PROBABLE CAUSE. They can't use probable cause, it's more like "reason to believe". It's a different standard...now if Pete can fix the law to go with "reason to believe" and not require the Attorney General's signoff on all this (just go from technical people straight to the FISA judge by email or phone), you might be able to get it to work.
Some members of Congress need to get over themselves and start thinking about others
