I just heard from a local radio reporter (during Rush newsbreak at approximately 1:00 p.m) that Whittington "may have taken a turn for the worse," and was put back into intensive care.

What on earth are you suggesting?
Not suggesting anything, just odd how someone can be "peppered" with shot, and have one enter the bloodstream (or work it's way thru the skin and muscle) travel all the way to the heart, and lodge there.
If anything I am suggesting that maybe we don't have all the details.

Let's get this straight: this guy was in a STEP DOWN UNIT; he was STILL on the ICU floor.

The reporters are making it sound like he was almost out the door and was rushed back.

Check the local gun club, or a good gun shop. They'll know someone who does custom reloading. You'll make some guy happy. He'll have a chance to use his 29 ga. stuff that's been sitting on the shelf. He'll charge you a bit for it, but you'll be the only guy on the block with 28 ga. slugs...that's for sure.

Free floating pellets are commonplace!

The shot shell size determines how big the pellets are. My bird hunting hubby says Cheney was probably using #9 shot for quail, which are small pellets, but there are a number of shells that can fit into a 28 guage. The higher the shot shell size the smaller the pellets.
