I just heard from a local radio reporter (during Rush newsbreak at approximately 1:00 p.m) that Whittington "may have taken a turn for the worse," and was put back into intensive care.
Yes, I hear you.
I'm not counting on it. I went door-to-door for Bush/Cheney, so anything but. However, I'm a realist, and if they guy dies, the effect will be that Cheney will have to resign as VP. Given the media climate we live in, to think anything else is unrealistic wishful thinking.
Well, if you're talking reliably Anti-American, I'd go with CNN first.....

I'm glad somebody else said it. A lot of people here apparently think Cheney is indestructable. The only good thing about this tragedy is that Bush wasn't there.
It's Bush's fault that Cheney was hunting, Bush's fault that he had a heart attack, Bush's fault that it's cold in NYC, Bush's fault that the earth is not flat.....
The media probably DOES think Bush was there.
Maybe it means it took her a while to finally get accepted into medical school.
It also may mean she probably has money.
McClellen isn't spokesman for the Vice President. Doesn't the VP's office have their own press people? I'm not sure why the press is beating up on the wimpy Mr. McClellen.
Cheney's statement:
"The Vice President was told when he arrived at the White House this morning that doctors had decided, based on overnight monitoring, to perform a cardiac catheterization on Mr. Whittington.
The Vice President's chief of staff passed him a note at about 12:30pm ET to inform him that Mr. Whittington's doctors would brief in Texas about 1:00pm ET on complications in Mr. Whittington's condition. The Vice President was on Capitol Hill when he received this information.
When the Vice President returned to the White House, he was able to watch part of the press conference. At about 1:30pm ET, the Vice President called Mr. Whittington and spoke to him. The Vice President wished Mr. Whittington well and asked if there was anything he needed. The Vice President said that he stood ready to assist. Mr. Whittington's spirits were good, but obviously his situation deserves the careful monitoring that his doctors are providing.
The Vice President said that his thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Whittington and his family."
I agree. He'd be better off doing some stupid show like Abcess Hollyweird, or the Spanish-language version of Family Feud called 100 Mexicanos Dijeron or some dopey show like that.
Burr did not resign IN A MUCH WORSE "MEDIA CLIMATE" and he intentionally killed Hamilton!
That would be an enormous mistake.
Remember that the leftists first had to get rid of Spiro Agnew before deposing Nixon.
Cheney is Dubya's insurance policy.
Bush's popularity might even go up if Cheney resigned and Bush appointed a young conservative.
RATS don't want Cheney to resign. Suppose Bush were to appoint Rice as the new VP? She'd be a shoo-in for 2008.
The RATS and their media handmaidens care only about November 2006 at the moment. The want the House, they want the Senate.
Oh boy..... The lame-stream press (LSM) is going to milk this for all its worth, especially with midterms coming up.
