Please take a moment to call the C-Span office to let them know you would like to see the Able Danger hearings today. The hearing starts at 2:30 eastern time today. It is not on their schedule and when I called C-Span they said they did not know if or when they would run the hearing. Then I called Congressman Weldon's office and they are baffled that C-Span is not running the hearing. I told Weldon's office I would put this thread up and hopefully enough people will call C-Span to encourage them to run the hearings live.

Call C-Span- Main Number: (202) 737-3220

Yes, you are correct. I'm waiting for the Cheney shooting to start getting covered. Maybe they will do a reenactment....

On hold for the past 5 minutes. I asked why they were taken off the schedule when I saw it posted the other day.

Yeah, by NYS AG Eliot Spitzer.

I don't know. Maybe there is hope there. They had Curt Weldon on Fox and Friends this morning.

Hold on the line, she eventually answers.

She was polite but had no info, asked me to call her back.

I called and spoke to a very nice lady who said she was receiving lots of calls and was trying to track down further information and get the hearings scheduled.

The answer I got it we can't show everything. I said it was on you schedule the other day, I want to see it and others want to see it. She didn't know why it was taken off but it may be shown at a later date, or this evening, to keep checking their website to see when they update their schedule.

Spitzer said that Snell's workload was just too heavy for Snell to make the hearing :(

We'll see if the committee's willing to buy that.

Call and Email this posting to friends, family, relatives and co-workers outside of FreeRep, tell them all to contact CSPAN and Weldon's office.

I think we should also call FNC and ask them to cover the hearing today.

Thank you for using your ping list!

Weldon's office was adamant in saying they don't know why they aren't airing the hearing.....

I posted in another thread this morning that we inundate CSPAN with email requests for them to broadcast the hearing.

Let them know, and they may broadcast it.

I got this post in another AD thread:

You can listen to live audio feed of the House Armed Services Committee hearings at the link below.

Right now, its budget testimony. Able Danger hearing begins at 2:30 pm, although I believe they may be going into closed session at some point...
