I suppose that quoting Al Franken for evidence of liberal media bias is, if you'll excuse the expression, like shooting fish in a barrel.
Nevertheless, perhaps it's useful for the archives to record one of Franken's remarks this evening in the course of his appearance on MSNBC's 'Scarborough Country.'
Commenting on Vice President Cheney's failure to follow Harry Whittington to the hospital, Franken stated:
"It's inconceivable that you don't go to the hospital unless there's a reason you don't go to the hospital. If you had been drinking, you wouldn't go to the hospital. Or, you're an amazing jerk, that's the other. Or both."
Well, at least Al offered a couple options.
This is a simple case of two losers helping each other, Scarborough (a loser with ratings nearly in the basement) brings on another loser (Franken) who says outrageous things that will offend any reasonable, decent person (which leaves out most of the current 'Rats and DUmmies).
Viola! Lots of offended, indignant people who might even tune in Scarborough next time to see who the NEXT offensive loser of a guest is going to be!
Like they say in show business, "ANY publicity is GOOD publicity".

You will only understand the symbolism of the following if you learned
through extraneous history or were old enough to have watched it play out
that Ted Kennedy drove off of a bridge in Massachusetts on his way to an
island with Mary Joe Kopechne in the late 60's.
He did NOT seek help to rescue her when he surfaced. Instead he made his
way to a hotel, called friends and the next morning reported the accident.
She was, needless to say, both dead and wet. Kennedy faced no type of
any censure or reprimand, much less any legal punishment for this negligent
act of manslaughter.
Kennedy power extends wide in that part of America. You have got to the
chutzpah of Rumsfeld.

Rumsfeld: Kennedy 'All Wet' About Bush Lies
(5 Feb 2004) -- Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld told Sen Edward M.
Kennedy yesterday that he was "all wet" when the Senator alleged that the
Bush administration lied about Iraq's weapons of mass destruction to
justify
going to war.
The verbal clash came during Mr. Rumsfeld's testimony at a Senate Armed
Services Committee hearing probing the state of pre-war intelligence.
Sen. Kennedy began his questioning of the Defense Secretary by saying,
"Don't you think some members of the Bush administration should be held
legally accountable for the lies they told about Iraqi weapons, and the
subsequent cover-up?"
"First, with all due respect Senator Kennedy, you're all wet," said Mr.
Rumsfeld . "The administration has not lied or covered up. However, in
general I do believe that when a man commits a crime he should face the
bar
of justice. He should not be allowed to serve in positions of power in our
government, and be hailed as a leader, when the question of his guilt
remains unresolved, if you know what I mean."
"I'm sure I do not know what you mean," Mr. Kennedy said. "But the
American
people deserve to know why you can't find Saddam's weapons of mass
destruction."
"Sometimes things are hard to find, even when you know where they are,"
said
Mr. Rumsfeld. "For example, I've heard of a man who missed a bridge and
drove his car into the water, even though he knew where the bridge was.
And
then sometimes you just keep diving into a problem and despite repeated
efforts, you come up empty handed. That doesn't mean that nothing's
there.
As you know, eventually, the truth comes to light."
Having no further questions, Mr. Kennedy yielded the remainder of his
time.
Al Franken's daddy had to have been both a drunk and quite indiscriminate in what he was "nailing". The same can be said for his mama.
You guys keep bringin up "Al Franklin." Who the hell is this guy? Was he an anti-Vietnam war veteren like Kerry?
Franken no longer has any experience with substance abuse since he gave up doing an eight ball of coke on a daily basis.
He considers the lines he does before going out in public just like a regular coffee.
He is an $ss no matter who is on!
Franken is a POS.
Franken is a talentless loser. He's a bitter little man.
It seems PMSNBC has reached the bottom of the barrel for guests. Bill Maher last night, Sidney Bloomenthal and Al Franken tonight. You can't get any lower than that.
They must be trying to reach the kooky moonbats since no one else is watching.
And then what? Hop on the helicopter with him when they move Whittington to the larger hospital, along with his SS protection? Hope they brought a big helicopter.
Franken is an ass, pure and simple.
"Hey Al! Taken any money from kids and Alzheimer's patients this week? "
Al is a "major league Clymer".
But the chimps are smarter.
And that is putting it kindly!
