New York -- For days, the White House news corps has pounded the Bush administration, demanding to learn more about Vice President Dick Cheney's accidental shooting of a hunting companion Saturday.

Cheney finally addressed the incident Wednesday, but the forum in which he chose to do so -- in an exclusive interview with Fox News host Brit Hume -- quickly became another source of contention.

CNN is so sensitive that they won't run the cartoons that may cause muslims to go crazy, but they are happy to show more Abu Garaib. Priceless.

"Now that he feels forced to talk, he wants to restrict the discussion to a friendly news outlet, guaranteeing no hard questions from the press corps," Sen. Frank Lautenberg, D-N.J., said in a statement.

LMAO. David Gregory & Dana Milbank disqualified the "press corps". Go whine to Soros.

On CNN, commentator Jack Cafferty called the interview "a little bit like Bonnie interviewing Clyde. ... I mean, running over there to the Fox network -- talk about seeking a safe haven."

Unlike those hard-hitting interviews with JImmy Carter and Bill CLinton on CNN, eh, you moron?

Today just showed a still of Cheney on Fox, and Katie proceeded to comment and question Mary Matilin using nothing but quotes from LA Times and the couple obligatory Republicans who said "it could have been done different'

In other news, the mainstream media is reluctantly reporting that V.P. Dick Cheney did, in fact, give an exclusive live interview yesterday to MSNBC. Asked why this is only being reported now, a sheepish spokesperson would only say, "Well, we didn't know about it. No one actually saw it. Not even the cameraperson."

The media getting their panties in a bunch over Fox getting the interview is hilarious....and very satisfying. Maybe if they would act professional at press briefings and not ask ridiculous questions maybe people would trust them to conduct a 'fair and balanced' interview.

Isn't it amazing how the liberal media outlets are so quick to point out conservative hues of Fox but never admit their own liberal, conservating hating traits.

OT BTW: Can anybody tell me why the press buried the Shanni Davis Olympics story? He is the selfish speed skater who refused to skate on the US pursuit relay team. He responded that he doen't care about what people think.
He should sent home immediately. The press has totally buried this story.

Fox News executives cast the scoop as the result of persistence and the growing clout of the top-rated cable news network.

Plus Fox has reporters who aren't complete, raging @$$holes, and Cheney will tell you so off the record. Oh yeah, big time.

I love this! Now they know how we felt about all those puffball interviews given to Bill Clinton by the MSM.

This is priceless. During the post-interview All-Stars yesterday, they ALL predicted the whine about "no press conference".

And the interview was, in part, Cheney's way of telling the MSM what he told Patrick Leahy a few years back.

Fox ran them also. O'Reilly was complaining about it on his radio show yesterday.

What is so difficult to understand about an individual preferring to talk to people who treat him fairly? I don't know many who would willingly jump into a shark tank.

They called for the vice president to hold a news conference with the rest of the media.

The VP should pull a Bill Clinton and say, "This is old news, now. There are lots more important things to cover in the news. I need to get back to the business of this Administration". I wonder if he'd get away with it like x42 did, time and time again.

"On CNN, commentator Jack Cafferty called the interview "a little bit like Bonnie interviewing Clyde. ... I mean, running over there to the Fox network -- talk about seeking a safe haven."

Tonight on Larry King Live, George Clooney answers all your in depth questions. Will he get married again? Everything you want to know.

I'm not making that up.

O'Reilly was complaining

Boy, that's something new....

But Fox is becoming increasingly unwatchable, and their radio news reports are falling right in line with ABC
