Oh geez .. Bob Novak is on FNC saying that Andy Card isn't really a chief of staff

Brit Hume had him one day on panel and next day Brit mentioned lots of upset mails about his comments.

Yes, you did predict it and you are usually right on target.

I wasn't real comfy about this port sale and I'm even less comfy with the fact that the SheBeast is taking the issue and running with it.

Talking of trust funds I bet the MSM will forget to mention that it was announced in Wyoming on Friday that Dick and Lynne Cheney's Trust Fund had donated 2.7M dollars to Wyoming University.

The veep got a standing ovation from the Wyoming legislator for this and in his usual unassuming manner was very gracious in his speech explaining what was behind the gift.

"""
And Lynne and I are pleased to have the university as the recipient of a gift from the trust we set up in 2001, just before I became Vice President. The University of Wyoming has played a very important role in our lives. It provided me with a first class education at a price I could afford, thanks to the generous support of the university by the people of Wyoming and the Wyoming State Legislature.

The first years of our marriage were spent at Laramie in student housing, while Lynne taught in the English Department and I was a graduate student. And this was our way of saying thank you, and of making certain that future generations have the same opportunities that we've enjoyed.
""""

I wonder how much and to what Democrats the very ones who vilify the VP has given from their trust funds.

"Both Saxby Chambliss and Jane Harman feel that Congress SHOULD have been involved in this sale...and feel that NOW he needs to get with them for their permission".

A BRITISH company being sold to a DUTCH/UAE owned company has to get US Congressional approval? I can see the contracts (to run US port facilities) having to be looked into and changed, canceled, or modified, but I think International Law would preclude Congress from being involved in non-American owned Multinational entity sales.

"The press hate Rummy because he will not play their game but instead plays with them."

And the press hates Vice President Cheney because he doesn't put up with their crap either. They both make the media look as stupid as they are! It is no wonder they want them gone!!

I was very disappointed to hear that Ari was taking the "wrong" side in the Cheney deal...

What is is about ex-Bush employees, that they feel the need to critisize the Administration whenever they are interviewed??

"Correct. And that Russert would even ask the question "did the media go too far" in his show promo tells me they've felt the sting. They know damn well they went to far and this is their attempt to save their ass with most of Americans"

Chiller,

You are correct. And with American Idol pulling greater ratings than the Olympics, NBC must be feeling the heat from the Bean-Counters.

My question is if they were flooded with emails and phone calls against Gregory his Meya-Culpa was Clintoneques and not good enough for me.

Is Timmy his Boss?

Then why the hell hasn't he (Gregory) been fired?

For that matter most of us here on the Freep could ask better questions than Russert?

Why the hell hasn't he been fired?

If their overall ratings continue to decline, they are not going to be able to justify their salaries. Early Retirements may become the norm.

One little disagreement. WE are not turning over our ports. They were already operated by Great Britain. They sold, or tried to sell, their rights to the UAE.

Facts are pesky things, but imperative if we are to have an informed citizenry.

I despair!

My problem is that I am very uncomfortable with this deal...

BUT, when I saw that Hillary ran in at the LAST minute, after the letter was sent by Schumer (yuck), Coburn, Foley, and others....so SHE could get credit....

There is a big part of me that WANTS to find a reason to say that is is okay now....(childish, I know)...LOL

Great post Peach, we can set the agenda by ignoring the MSM spin BS yet pointing it out when they constantly get away with ignoring key stories in the news.

I never watch ABC but have had it on this A.M. and I'm just amazed at how bad little Georgie's show is. It's a cartoon with a Democrat activist as the star pretending to be a "journalist". It's downright sad and very funny at the same time. And what heppened to George Will? He used to have testicles.

And ex-Congressmen like Joe Scarborugh. Can't believe how much Joe has become like the stupid liberals he hangs out with in the MSM. He is a totally different person than he was in Congress. I used to like Joe, but now I have zero respect for him.
