Anyone, and I mean anyone, with access to a free society can learn the TRUTH! Islam is the final lie still in existence to this day. How do we confront it effectively? Without stirring the pot too much as to cause a severe backlash?

Yes, but there is the new lie that's being spread even on sites like this.

It works like this - there is this 'other' Islam, a 'baaad' misconception of Islam whose followers have misunderstood Islam or have been brainwashed.

Ok, let's go there. There's a reason for people passing on a "new" lie. It's only because they're afraid of what might occur if there's no other course of action left. I cannot blame them for feeling that way either, I did. Then, after spending time with my nephew, I realized that this cannot be left for him to deal with because I was afraid. No one wants what is to come..at least no one in there right mind, but we NEED to address this while we have the upper hand technologically; otherwise, in a war of attrition, we'll lose. I've served, and I can see so have you, but this will require a new yet discovered, sense of survival to achieve the desired outcome:
Survival of our world.

An Indian tribe has forced distributors of an Arab studies guide for U.S. teachers to remove an inaccurate passage that says Muslim explorers preceded Christopher Columbus to North America and became Algonquin chiefs.
Peter DiGangi, director of Canada's Algonquin Nation Secretariat in Quebec, called claims in the book, the "Arab World Studies Notebook," "preposterous" and "outlandish," saying nothing in the tribe's written or oral history support them.
The 540-page book says the Muslim explorers married into the Algonquin tribe, resulting in 17th-century tribal chiefs named Abdul-Rahim and Abdallah Ibn Malik.
Mr. DiGangi said the guide's author and editor, Audrey Shabbas, and the Middle East Policy Council (MEPC), a Washington advocacy group that promoted the curriculum to school districts in 155 U.S. cities, have been unresponsive to his concerns since November.
But Ms. Shabbas said this week the passage was removed immediately from subsequent copies, and that she was "giving careful and thoughtful attention" on how to notify the 1,200 teachers who have been given copies of the book in the past five years.
"As the editor of the 'Notebook,' when I heard from Mr. DiGangi that a citation in the work was not borne out by either Native American written records or by oral traditions, I was grateful that the statement could so easily be removed," she said.
She did not explain how the false information got into the curriculum...etc etc...

We can't save the young ones from the truth. Without scaring them, we should let them know that some people do really hate us, they hate our way of life, and want to take our freedoms away from us.

As for the adults, that deliberately hide their heads in the sand, and pretend it's not happening, or those who would prefer to shoot the messenger, time, and the mindset of the terrorists will catch up with them. Cowards can't hide from the truth forever.

Easy, she should tell them that islam flourishes with lies, such as these in the books that were printed and give to the school children, that's how! WTF?! I'm amazed that she even confronted what was done to deceive through indoctrination. Kudos to her!

Glad to be here too, bayouranger. Sorry I was so late. This is quite a thread, and finally the white elephant in the room, (or should I say country), is being discussed!

The power that islam has already achieved in this Country is very disturbing to me.! How is it that the press, in THIS country, has self censored themselves and given up the freedom of speech AND the press? The fact that they are willing to NOT publish those cartoons, reveals what cowards and hypocrites they really are. It also shows the intense fear that already exists here of islam.

Once they achieve passing hate crime legislation prohibiting any criticism of islam, that will be the beginning of the end. We think that can NEVER happen here? Who would have believed that the newspapers in this Country would refuse to run a cartoon?

Fear is one of islams major tools in suppression of the truth. Once they see that people are hesitant to openly debate/ read/ publish the true nature of the lie that islam has kept from them, they jump on the offensive. For instance, the article on "Arab Americans" claiming a sense of bigotry against them in the US now. That alone causes people to avoid being called a racist, which is so PC of them to cover their ears/eyes to the truth, really! It's childish to avoid a topic for fear of an undeserving name only throw at them to keep the eyes off the real subject: Islam, and the crimes committed on behalf of their "perfect prophet". What's wrong with these people?!
