H.J. Heinz Co. said Tuesday it was selling its European seafood business to Lehman Brothers Merchant Banking for $506 million.
The transaction is subject to customary EU competition review and approval. Pending regulatory approval, Heinz expects to complete the transaction by the end of March 2006.
This major transaction successfully focuses our portfolio in Europe on three core categories: Ketchup and Sauces; Infant Nutrition; and Meals and Snacks, said a Heinz spokesman.
Ah HA!
Hey, why not, it makes as much sense as this "They're all Arabs" attitude?
It appears that is the situation.
Isn't this a case of outsourcing? And I am sure I heard kerry rant and rave about the evils of outsourcing,
Heinz Ketchup sucks.
There are many other brands of ketchup available on the shelves of my favorite grocery store.
By the way, stay away from Boston Market (Heinz).
Sorry can't do that. I love that place. Boycotts (only in my opinion) don't work anyway. I have never witnessed a business going under because of a boycott.
Yeah, but she and her brats get rich off the profits. I don't care whether or not she is running the place but I DO care if I'm helping in any way to fund sKerry's adventures.
This is not an issue that I work to stay current on, but I thought Boston Market was bought by McDonald's.
