Ban Republican adoptions, not gay adoptions, (Ohio) lawmaker says

COLUMBUS -- State Senator Robert Hagan says he has a better idea than barring gay couples from adopting children.

The Democrat from Youngstown says he'd ban Republican adoptions.

In a tongue-in-cheek memo to his colleagues, Hagan spoofs a bill from House conservatives that would keep gays from becoming adoptive or foster parents in Ohio.

He counters that adopted children raised in Republican households have told him it's just plain boring most of the time. Hagan also writes that the kids are more at risk for developing, as he puts it, "an alarming lack of tolerance." An aide says there's no comment from Republican Representative Ron Hood of Ashville, the sponsor of the gay-adoption ban.

Ban conservatives. I knew liberals woud have a lightning bolt flare up somewhere in those brains of theirs. Its the most profound idea they've had in a long time.

Poor cry-baby. I guess losing the mayoral race for mayor of Youngstown last year has left him bitter.

I have a better idea. How about mandatory abortions for any unmarried woman who has not finished high school or that will require gov't assistance to raise her kid(s)?

If abortion is going to be legal, this would be its most logical application.

Here's a better idea: castrate Hagan.

Has anyone checked Hagans record for child abuse arrest. He seems to be on a crusade to derail the anti-gay adoption legislation and thereby preserve the more lenient pro-pedophile environment that currently exists in Ohio allowing pedophiles to gain access to children thru adoption. Can't understand how the voters of Youngstown could've elected him. Probably got in thru vote fraud. Inany case, in order to protect the children, it's time to run hagan and his kind out of office.

ha, ha, ha, so funny I forgot to laugh.

this senator is an idiot.

there's a lot of democrats who become foster parents and adopt just for that monthly check. In NJ, we just had a case of a 19-yr.-old weighing only 45 pounds. The mother was just tried.

Ha Ha Ho Ho that is just sooo funny and witty. He must be a real card alright.

I have forwarded his name and a recommendation that he be profiled on an upcoming episode of YAAFM. If he ever does lose his elected position (allah forbid) he can use his YAAFM appearance to get his stand-up routine going.

I live near Youngstown and witnessed Hagan's idiotic campaign for mayor. How he ever got elected to anything is beyond belief. The guy is a total doofus.

He probably did, or through other unethical means, since Youngstown is very corrupt.
