Someone left a Boston Globe at work today and I noticed it in passing the table. There it was. The feature article of Section B: "Unsung Veterans." It is a particularly nasty piece (even for the Marxist Trust Babies at the Globe), briefly profiling four black veterans of the US military.
We learn that the first served in WW II as an Army captain, and allegedly was told by his commanding officer that the colonel was familiar with the needs of blacks because the colonel had raised blacks on his plantation. The second was a Navy machinist's mate who did duty off Korea while being forced to serve coffee and food to white pilots aboard USS Leyte. The third was drafted to serve in Vietnam as an Army sergeant. When Martin Luter King, Jr., was shot, he was allegedly called into his CO's office and warned not to riot with the other black soldiers, then sent to the camp perimeter to take enemy fire. The fourth served in Iraq as an Army sergeant. A school basketball player, she enlisted to serve. However, a combination of tough duty and mistreatment made her fall ill and she was medically retired. She is now home in Boston but because she came back "half dead, the opportunities [for work] are not there." She spends her time fighting the "system."
Not a word about any unsung heros who are white. Not a favorable word about the US military. Just the Globe's uninterrupted stream of hateful Marxist sewage written by people whose closest encounter to the armed forces was watching "The Deer Hunter" on video.
What else can one expect coming from a sideshow or better an offspring dependent of the NYT.
You may be right, but I just can't see anybody at the Globe watching The Deerhunter. At least not all the way through.
Remember the part where the NVA officer makes the US prisioners play Russian roulette and bets on the outcome?
No Globe reporter could ever watch that without being upset that the Americans trick and kill their captors.
They would have turned it off right there and written an appropriately hate-filled, anti-American story on how Hollywood was being infested by evangelical Christians.
That paper's banner should be "The Boston GLOB!"
The "blacks" are mere pawns in the attempt for leftist domination. The moment Democrats return to power, blacks will be returned to the plantation where they'll toil under the watchful gaze of Grand Cyclops Robert Byrd.
I can understand now why the it is called the "Boston Globe". Mosques have a "globe" on top.
I would like to give everyone at that rag a surprise urine test to find out what makes them all so delusional and paranoid.
To what end do they print this vitriol? It only serves to stir up hate and divisiveness. It does not fall in the purview of news.
Don't you get it? They hate us. Us, middle Americans who go to church, raise families, have values, respect the law. They HATE us.
To all my Northern compatriots, next time you wonder why someone calls you a "DamnYankee", remember this!
WTF? Is it your water, laced with LSD? Has the cold frozen all the good parts of your brain?
DAMIFIKNOW, but, y'all sure are different, from me and mine!
We could solve most of our national problems, by redrawing our borders, to exclude just a few geographical areas!
Hell yes, it must be in the water!!
I will concede that y'all were first to stand for Freedom, but, y'all damn sure seem eager to be first, to surrender it!
"To what end do they print this vitriol? It only serves to stir up hate and divisiveness".
You shouldn't expect Russell Nichols to be writing about any "unsung heros who are white" when he's writing a feature about Black History Month.
I buy the NY Post on Sundays and read other newspapers online. The Globe has limited appeal; like much of liberal thinking, it is a dinosaur on life support.
Russert was brow beating the Governator today about the low numbers in the CA National Guard. With the media's constant denigration of the military and leftist school campuses where recruiting is constantly being fought, I couldn't tell if that was a smile or a smerk on Russert's face when he was asking the questions.
God bless our troops.

Christ man, takes some meds and calm down.
