The betrayal of America
The Augusta Free Press ^ | February 20, 2006 | Max Friedman

Posted on 02/28/2006 3:36:19 PM PST by EveningStar

This column is a rant, not a soft, cuddly piece of fluff opinion. It is going to tell the truth like you have never heard it before. To quote Jack Nicholson from the movie "A Few Good Men" - "You want the truth? You can't handle the truth" - but I'm going to give it to you anyway.

So, as your mother used to do to those of you readers who are old enough to remember, hold your nose and take your medicine, because the doctor is in, and he's operating with a chainsaw.

After 35 years in the news/journalism business, from D.C. to Vietnam, I can honestly say that most of the leading Democratic Party politicians and their far-left support groups are traitors to this country. Besides the few who are deceased or out of office, today's DP is loaded with leaders who have sold out this country to the communists, to the Islamofascists and to their egos. Others are just plain stupid, addle-brained and knee-jerk jerks.

(I'll get to the Republicans in a minute)...

Nice to know that a good old-fashioned broadside can still be published in America.

Thanks for the ping, Doodlelady. The author makes factual and brilliant observations. And I've done sufficient research to back him fully on most of what he is recording as "history".

However, one problem. What does the author suggest be done, outside of "Republicans need to grow some backbone"? Perhaps the article should have been a two-parter. Because at it stands, it amounts to his proposal for "scorched earth" policies.

I've seen inside the wheel.

Outside of lining the traitors up? What's next to be done with the traitors.

This is America. Citizens have the luxury and the freedom to become informed. Should they choose.

Once upon a time in America, Dan White "knew" Moscone and Milk were taking San Francisco into a bad way. He shot and murdered what he perceived as "traitors". The rest is history. It empowered the Moscone/Milk factions. And you see what SF has become, today. Not good.

Then there are the groups who wish to see a dramatic "All the Presidents Men" type of scenario of "people in power" using legal docs and legalisms to corral the traitors. BOOM. BOOM. BOOM.

The result? The populace becomes apathetic in a belief that all politics and politicking is corrupt, so why care.

Oh yes, for over a decade have I heard the repeated "Repubs are spineless" line. I don't think this is so.

Put any of the parties in charge, and let's measure what their reactions to the Lib-Dem Traitors might be:

Libertarians: "Just stay out of my deals".

Greenies: "They might have just meant well, I mean, even weeds have a purpose in the garden of life".

NAACP: "Ya just can't trust Whitey".

Nazis: "Ya just can't trust White Panderers".

Constitution Party: "...

Point is....YES, it appears so easy to remedy the situation with the traitors in power. But the reality is different. When looking at the situation singularly -- Oh yes, round 'em up and hang 'em high.

America is the role model for many countries in the world. And if freedom and our constitution are all they are really cracked up to be, then smarter heads do or should prevail -- but this is contingent upon a free people being informed and voting their minds.

The MSM is taking serious hits for their liberal agenda in so-called reporting the "news". This is absolutely important -- and it is being accomplished.

It is critical that the institutions of "EDUCATION" be addressed, liberated from the strangleholds of the bias of communist agenda sympathizers molding young brains to "not think".

Liberals (communists and socialists) have been upholding the ideology of "nirvana (utopia) on earth" for as long (and before) I've lived -- predicated upon the assumption that if only those evil Republicans and Evil Capitalists were done away with, there'd be "heaven on earth". It's how the left still does protests "shoot Bush", "do away with this person", etc.

This is what I mean by scorched earth policies". And, conservatives can also be totally unaware they hold the same root philosophy as the liberals in wishing for scorched earth practices. That if only "liberals" were done away with, censored, silenced, whatnot, life would be so much better.

Is this really the resolution?

Not very practical one, IMHO.

What do I propose? Hang the traitors on the very lies they are committing. Expose their treasons. Catch them in their game. Let the people decide. Grow smarter, play a smarter hand.

I really do believe the majority of people wish to grow "smarter". They can't do that as long as the MSM is permitted to continue to obscure the truth. They can't do that as long as their children are being "babysat" at schools and taught propoganda.

Sure, Howard Beal's are always needed: I'M MAD AS A HELL AND I'M NOT GOING TO TAKE IT ANYMORE.

These folks are clarions.

But on a "real" basis, what power do they have to enact REAL change?

This is why the left's continual attacks on Rush Limbaugh are so utterly pathetic.

The real change occurs in real venues: Economics.

The left perpetually operates on a "nominal-type" ideology. Therefore, they cannot and will not win, ultimately. They make inflated gains during periods of time. But their "bubbles get poppped"; and so they muster faux outrage among their followers, hoping one of them will become a Howard Beale (Sheehan) for their side.

The race is not always to the swift. Maybe, during my lifetime, my task is to perpetually fight the good fight. And maybe that's what its about. For each generation.

There is no "heaven on earth". And that's what is important to understand. There is NO heaven on Earth.

We get brief glimpses of it, however.

And some how, that's got to be good enough: doing our part in our lifetimes.

Does it get tiresome? Yes.

Again, thanks for the ping, and for reading my thoughts. I see real progress happening in America. As sure as I can touch the nose on my face.

And most days, I know that's as good as it gets. And, given what I have seen in past, that's plenty good for me. For now.

Bravo!!!! Your viewpoint must be correct because it is close enough to exactly my own as to be synomomous. Our enemines must be fought on the battlefield of their own choosing, being the field of information. When their ideas are presented next to our ideas, there will be many who still believe and trust in them, but not as many as there are now.

A hundred years from now there will be a completely new population. What we do here and now makes ALL the difference.

This guy claims at the end he will never vote Democrat again. So I would take his comments about spineless Republicans to be more of a balance to his disdain of Democrats/Communists.

There have been several posts towards the end of this thread, that have pointed out that the information about the Dem./Communists has been around for decades. that would have to mean that the GOP has been "spineless" for that length of time, at least.

It really has nothing to do with this guy striving to obtain balance and much more to do with a one-party/two-party system. If the Dems were to disappear tomorrow, the GOP would be left with all the power. Thus they would be totally responsible for the output of the government, with no donkey to pin the tail upon, for all the crap that oozes from the government. They have already given us an example of what they think of limited government and limited spending.

The dreamers needing more prodding is a misinterpretation of their true agenda.

The left wants America to fail.

They hate capitalism with all their being.

Fascism is the name of their game. Elites always think they can rule the world.

We underestimate the hatred of all things American at our peril.

What a wonderful thought, and a goal worth striving for.

Was there more to my post, than that particular line? I think my idea was that there was a very large probability that we would really not be any better off if the GOP had a monopoly on power.

I repeat, the Republicans have had more than 50 years (more than that actually, remember FDR) to stick it to the Democrats and have failed to tag them for what they actually are.

You have posted several comments on this thread, and the gist of every one of them is quite different than the original article posted, namely exposing the insideous Communism prevalent throughout our culture, facilitated by the Democrat Party.

If you want to use this thread to continue bashing Republicans, be aware that your agenda is obvious.
