CHICAGO -- An Illinois judge has decided not to force a woman to watch a videotape of two men having sex with her as a 16-year-old.
The tape is evidence in the trial of a man accused of raping her, and the judge had threatened the woman with contempt of court for refusing to watch it.

He is perverted for NOT making her watch it?
Yeah, he is. The lady has been through enough hell already.
For saying she had to watch or saying she didn't have to watch it?
No, but at first, he was insisting that she must. Someone must have slapped some decency into his butt.
As painful as it is, the tape will reveal details that she has surely forgotten or burried.
The defense will question her unmercifully, and any time she is wrong on a detail they will challenge her credibility and point out the error to the jurrors.
Won't the jury see the tape as well ? I don't think the defense will go after her too hard, it'll just piss off the jury more.
Very strong evidence that American society is dominated by forces afflicted with brain rot.
Americana brain worm.
So what? Thats to be expected. With the tape in evidence how can that possibly be germain?

Circuit Judge Kerry Kennedy's decision was a relief to victims advocates, who said forcing the woman to watch the tape on the witness stand would have been cruel and could have discouraged others from reporting sexual assaults.
Who asked the judge to force her to do it. The defense? Would not make sense because she'd, of course, react in sheer horror. The prosecution? Someone please fire that person posthaste.
Circuit Judge, Circuit Court of Cook County Bridgeview, Illinois
Kennedy (D) was elected circuit judge in 2002.
Prior to his judicial election, Kennedy served as an assistant public defender for Cook County.
Kennedy received his B.A. from the University of Chicago,
M.S. from Illinois Institute of Technology, and J.D. from NIU College of Law in 1978.
Thanks Old Sarge. I did a google but, couldn't find it..
If that was my name, I would have it legally changed, but being a democrat maybe he likes the name.
With the tape as evidence, the victim shouldn't even have to appear in court and the accused tried in absentia while they sit in jail.
Men like that need to be publicly hung by the neck until they are dead or shot by a firing squad.
We tolerate this kind of porno crap too much...
The gov must be a Democrat...more legislation please!
How often does this situation occur that a new law should be written? It appears the said tape wasn't of her being raped but of an earlier sexual encounter with two guys, which makes writing a law even more obscure.
He was perverted before he wasn't perverted.
No, but at first, he was insisting that she must. Someone must have slapped some decency into his butt.
