MIAMI (AP) -- Details contained in court documents about the four others charged along with Jose Padilla with being part of a North American terror support cell.
KIFAH WAEL JAYYOUSI: 44 years old. Naturalized U.S. citizen originally from Jordan. Doctorate degree in civil engineering and U.S. Navy veteran. Began publishing in 1994 the Islam Report that federal investigators say was used to raise money for Islamic extremists and report on Muslim radicals worldwide. Founded American Islamic Group, "the voice of the mujahideen." Has wife and five children living in Detroit. Arrested March 2005 after returning from Qatar.
ADHAM AMIN HASSOUN: 43 years old. Palestinian born in Lebanon who came to United States in 1989. Worked as computer programmer in Broward County but was allegedly the main East Coast representative of Jayyousi's AIG. Prosecutors say he helped distribute Islam Report in South Florida and provided extremist recruits. One of them was Jose Padilla, investigators say. Originally arrested in June 2002 on an immigration violation charge.
KASSEM DAHER: Lebanese national with Canadian residency status. Lived in Le Duc, Canada, and helped distribute the Islam Report. Was allegedly involved in planning to provide money and fighters for jihad in Bosnia, Chechnya and elsewhere. Was close associate of Mohamed Zaky, a former associate of Jayyousi who was killed in 1995 while fighting Russians in Chechnya.
MOHAMED HESHAM YOUSSEF: Another alleged recruit of Hassoun's for violent Islamic extremism. Investigators say Youssef, living in Egypt, frequently discussed with Hassoun the travel logistics of mujahideen fighters. Hassoun frequently wired money to Youssef for these "brothers," among them Jose Padilla. One FBI intercept has Youssef telling Hassoun that Padilla had "entered into the area of Usama" - a reference to al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden.

Tom Tancredo has been in the congressional front line for quite awhile, and we gotta love and thank him for it.
However, illegal immigration has been the subject of debate for well over twenty years by Los Angeles news commentator George Putnam. Putnam still writes a column in Newsmax.com. Putnam raised red flags, railed, hollered, argued on talk radio. He did everything humanly possible to warn the American people. His pleas dropped on deaf ears...until now.
Uncontrolled illegal immigration is as bad a threat to the United States, as al Qaeda terrorists! How all of our elected politicians in Washington don't recognize this fact, goes beyond comprehension? A nation without borders, is not a sovereign nation.

"Crews Discover Pipe Bombs At Car Crash Site"
ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Some emergency officials made a dangerous discovery when they were looking at the damage to a 1991 Cadillac on Route 40 at about 3 a.m. Saturday, WTAE Channel 4 Action News reported.
The car had reportedly been in a single-car accident.
Fire officials found a pipe bomb on the ground outside the car, according Lt. Bernard Petrovsky, with the Pennsylvania State Police.
One eyewitness to the accident told police that a passenger in the vehicle ran into the woods with some things in his hands.
After a quick search of the area, police found three more pipe bombs.
"So we have a total of four pipe bombs we've recovered from the scene of this accident," Petrovsky said.
As the bomb squad was called in, the driver of the crashed car, Derrick P. McKulka, 23, was arrested.
"He's going to be charged with possession of weapons of mass destruction, DUI, reckless endangering and risking a catastrophe," Petrovsky said."

The issue won't blow away and, right now, support for securing the border and opposition to amnesty are both building.
I grew up with George Putnam as the local newsman on television here in Los Angeles. He is to be commended for leading and keeping up the fight.
I took a peek at the link you posted. Putnam's commentary is crystal clear. I also went from there to an L.A. Times article about GWB's "comfort level" with Mexicans.
What is interesting is that the article was printed just a few days ago AND also a few days ago, Jeb Bush made HIS pro-Mexican, anti-American comments to the L.A. Times. So, I have to say they are deliberately speaking through this L.A. media outlet directly to Mexicans.
The Bush brothers do not speak as sympathetically to patriotic Americans... not by a long shot.
