I imagine when schools start losing money when sales of school lunches go down, they will create the following rule :
OUTSIDE FOOD IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED! ANY STUDENT WHO BRINGS IN OUTSIDE FOOD WILL BE EXPELLED!
When this happens, I hope a bunch of students start a hunger strike.
When students start selling junk food at black market prices, the schools will immediately ban junk food from even being on school property. The day is coming when students will be expelled for having Twinkies and a Diet Coke in their backpacks.
My mom raised me and my sister and junk food. The results were not good.
I've got a better idea. Why not just make everybody bring their own damn food and drinks, and get the schools out of the business of supplying food?

Heh... they can't even keep drugs, weapons and booze out of school, they would essentially have to strip-search every student to keep "contraband" out. Junk food would be smuggled in under clothes just like any other forbidden substance.
