But, blind students are required to take driver training courses in order to graduate.

Kraft Foods and other companies obviously didn't contribute sufficient amounts to democRAT office holders in the Land of Julio (formerly known as The Land of Lincoln).

Today, the state board approved rules to reduce this temptation for kids." Spoken like a true nanny stater. Tar and feathers is too good for this bird brain.

Now if they would just ban the junk education that is the standard in most public schools.

I wonder if kids can bring their own soda, chips, candy, Twinkies, etc. from home in their little lunch boxes? OR will the nanny-staters take those away, too?? The phrase "From my cold, dead hands" comes to mind!

Yes it is. It is a mandatory section of the National School Lunch Program.

>>>Healthy People 2010 16 recognizes the role of all meals and snacks at school in the development of eating patterns that have an impact on overweight and obesity. Objective 19:15, asks for action "to increase the proportion of children and adolescents, aged 6 to 19, whose intake of meals and snacks at schools contributes proportionally to good overall dietary quality."<<<
This comes with a UN agent for enforcement and auditing.

I guess the drugging of the children didn't meet desired results, time to dictate the ingestion process, if that fails we'll use shock therapy, if that fails we'll beat them, if that fails......

You know, in truth there is no such thing as "junk food".
Now, one or more of these kids may be subsisting on a poor diet and no exercise, but that's something else entirely. It's a given, however, that the budding neo-fascisti movement will soon tire of their elementary school fiefdoms and set their sights on everyone else. Bank on it.

I read the law that was signed into our state. There is language for strict enforcement. But only vague references to students who bring in their lunch. What they want is for all the kids to be buying their lunch.
IOW, as this gets implemented, they will phase out allowing kids to bring in their food. They will have to create propaganda situations to lead into for the 'need' to do that.

I recently visited with a nephew who is in middle school. He finally gets what "nanny state" means, even if he doesn't admit it. LOL
He told me, in school, the kids are all about ready to rebel at those they call "hypocites" They have homosexuals telling them that it's unhealthy to eat junk food and smoke. A lot of kids do both things, just "because" they think it's so hypocritical. They preach to kids these things are bad, but what they do is good.
Who'd a thought? I wish my sister would get her kids out of the public school system.

If that had been the law when my daughter was in school, she would have starved! She never bought a lunch in all of the 12 years she was in school. Brown-bagged it every day!
