NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Tennessee can sell license plates that say ``Choose Life,'' even though it doesn't offer one with an abortion rights message, a federal appeals court ruled Friday.
The American Civil Liberties Union of Tennessee had sued over the specialty license plate approved by the Legislature in 2003 and won a ruling against the tag from a lower court that said it illegally promoted only one side of the abortion debate.
``Although this exercise of government one-sidedness with respect to a very contentious political issue may be ill-advised, we are unable to conclude that the Tennessee statute contravenes the First Amendment,'' Judge John M. Rogers said in a 2-1 ruling by a three-judge panel of the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Cincinnati.

What do they want on their license plates? Choose Death? Murder your Unborn Child?
Use this next time someone claims that pro-choice is not the same as pro-abortion.
Please FReepmail me if you would like to be added to, or removed from, the Pro-Life/Pro-Baby ping list...
"Choose Death" is exactly the plate they should offer.
Rock!
The ACLU is deeply saddened that people will be encouraged to not kill their children.
How about "KILL BABIES!"
I suspect they pro-choice side would want something to keep the focus on the woman.
Evidently Rogers is a Bush appointee, nominated in 2004. This shows the importance of good judicial appointments at every level.

Maybe the motto "A Woman's Right to Choose," with a portrait of a pair of knife-wielding lesbians in the background?
well if they did that i bet it would not even get close to SCOTUS.

Exactly. Would they like a "Choose Abortion" tag?
