NON-OBJECTIVE MEDIA ALERT: This reporter (first name is Les) asks White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan to join him in asking the President for executive clemency for a former police officer. Aren't reporters always saying they are objective, neutral bystanders? They only report the news, not make it? This little nugget puts the lie to that false media assertion (as if we needed more such evidence).

Q Scott, The New York Times this morning devoted half a page to news from New Mexico that after police Sergeant Billy Anders killed a white supremacist Aryan brotherhood ex-convict named Earl Flippen, who had just murdered his wife, but also murdered Anders' police partner, Deputy Robert Hedman, and was shooting at a three-year-old girl with his .357 Magnum. But Sergeant Anders has just been sent to prison for one year for shooting Flippen, who was handcuffed. And my question, will you join me in asking the President for executive clemency of this police officer?

The first couple as they walked away from Marine One this morning. GWB took off his overcoat and handed it to the First Lady.

He walks over to make a statement to the media while she heads inside.

Stepping off Marine One.

Tourists have a photo taken with a cut-out figure of President Bush outside the White House in Washington March 11, 2006. Cut-outs of the President's mother and father can be seen in the foreground on the left.

With all the gloom and doom in the media these days, we need a little FUN around here! The President loves to tease guys with very short hair or bald heads.

This one might offend some folks who visit the Dose, but it's funny so I'm posting a link. It certainly looks real and not Photoshopped. Assuming it's real, I wish I knew who he was gesturing to in this pic. (Hope it was David Gregory.)

LOL...I love those pictures...

Maybe he needs to go to Capitol Hill and rub the heads of Biden and Levin...they aren't very good at hiding their very receding hairlines!!!

This is an interesting non-political caricature of the President. (It comes from this website.)

Governor Bush and his wife Laura share a laugh with Nellie Connally during a 1995 ceremony honoring Mrs. Connally's contributions to Texas. Nellie looked a bit startled, perhaps by a flash going off.

Being sworn in as Governor of Texas for the first time. Can't be certain from the angle, but it almost looks like a young Alberto Gonzalez is swearing in the then-new governor.
