Not unless you specifically state that you absolutely did not hire illegals. None of this BS "not knowingly" crap. Personally, I don't think you can make that statement in good conscience. Sure, you can kid yourself and rationalize all kinds of things, but the truth is you don't know because you never bothered to ask or get proof of citizenship or a green card. I'm sure in the landscaping business there were never any cash transactions and everybody got a earning statement, right? And no I'm not in the market for bridges in Brooklyn. Adios!
