Let me first say that I want this scum bag DEAD. Very Very Dead. My father was on Flight 93 - so I have NO reason to want him free.
I believe he sees this court as his own circus....like he's actually enjoying the press. If he makes outlandish remarks, claims and statements - it is all over the news. 3 of 4 planes had 5 hijackers.
My father's flight had 4 - and they were taken over by the passengers. He's the 20th hijacker...so it would seem natural that he should have been, although thankfully not, on Flight 93...which was headed for the White House.
The bright side...if he admitted this in court then he just admitted to knowing of 9/11. that would make him guily of murder and the death penalty should be invoked.
I'm praying it is!!

I'm so sorry for your loss.
Your Dad and the other members of that flight were the first heros to directly fight back against the Taliban/Islamist extremists. All of those fighting now in Afghanistan and Iraq can garner strength by remembering those who unexpectedly were thrust into the the first battle and who accounted themselves with such courage and honor.
We honor the memory of your father.
He's lying, I think. If memory serves, they determined that the plane that hit the Pentagon was might initially have been trying to hit the WH -- they made a couple of circuits of DC before heading off to the Pentagon.
Richard Reid?! Oh, come on....
Reid wasn't even in the US during or before 9-11 that I ever heard of.
I'm skeptical.
1) I thought the plane that went down in Pennsylvania was the one headed to the WH.
2) Moussaoui and Reid are two people. All the other "teams" had five, except for one that had four. Why would the most important one have only two?
The explanation that makes more sense is that Moussaoui was supposed to be the fifth man on the four-man team and that Reid wasn't involved at all. I think Moussaoui knows his goose is cooked and is trying to amass as much glory as possible for himself on the way out.
Hopefully that is just a finale to a long, drawn out punishment after he has suffered all a human being can suffer.
Even if he hadn't cooperated, if the hard drive on his computer had been analyzed, the 9-11 plot could have been broken up. The firewalls Jamie Gorelick set up between the Justice Department and intelligence services prevented putting together the various pieces of information that were spread out over several agencies.

My condolences on your loss. I can't imagine how frustrating it must be to watch all of the MSM concern for the 'rights' of these terrorists.
On Friday, I saw a trailer for a movie about Flight 93. The claim was that it was made in cooperation with the families of the victims. Do you know anything about it? The trailer seemed to be legit (and very moving) but Hollywood has this way of finding Democrat activists and spinning everything to be anti-American, anti-Bush, etc.
That is what it would take to show the Arab world that we are serious about ending the reign of terror this POS represents internationally.
Of course we are thankfully too civilized to do such a thing, but its an appropriate fantasy in terms of the effect it would have on these tango scums.
This reminds me of Peter Jennings (aka Peter Puke), who, immediately after the multiple attacks on 9/11/01, was on TV criticizing President Bush for remaining in the air on Air Force One instead of returning to DC. The arrogant and ignorant journalists think they have all the answers, but they "report" lies and gross distortions of the facts.
He's obviously lying. Richard Reid wasn't even capable of lighting a match.
Nor was he in America at the time.
It's not bizarre that he would lie on the stand in a death penalty case. What is bizarre is that he would admit to culpability to a completely different crime.
It would almost make sense in setting up an insanity defense, but it's too late to do that now.
Best I can tell, it's just utter contempt for our judicial system.
I don't think the jury shares that contempt, so he's a dead man.
I have not seen the movie yet but I expect they'll have a private screening for the families very soon. Universal has been tremendous with communicating with the families throughout the production. I've gotten in touch w/ the lad who plays my father - Michael Reynolds...he live is England. I have a feeling you're not going to get some Hollywood-whitewashed version. They seemed to be VERY careful about depicting things as they saw them happening - which is why the families were so cooperative in putting this film together.
Also - I found out some news about United 93 that Freepers will be happy about. I can't let the cat out of the bag as Universal will be making a press release very soon...but I think everyone will be pleasantly surprised.

A couple of gallons of JetA and a zippo would be more appropriate.
