I guess everyone's heard the story by now. When I get to the studios I'm sure that Web Guy will tell me we've had hundreds of emails on the subject. It seems that Georgia's embarrassment, Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney, has slugged, or slapped, or punched, or hit ... whatever ... a capitol hill police officer. Here is the way it was reported to have happened. Cynthia is entering one of the House office buildings. It wasn't the building in which her office is located. She was not wearing the lapel pin that identifies her as a member of congress. She exercises her privilege of walking around the metal detectors. The police officer doesn't recognize her and goes after her. That's his job. When he (chose one) (a) place his hand on her shoulder; or (b) grabbed her arm, she turned around and (a) hit, (b) punched (c) slapped him in his (a) face (b) chest with (a) her open hand (b) her fist (c) her cell phone.

Hairwoman was just on Fox and Friends.

Brian couldn't get her to answer a single question. She just sat there, looking like the Cheshire Cat, and filibustered. Hairwoman uttered hundreds of words and didn't say a thing other than the incident was the fault of everyone but herself.

It got really funny when Hairwoman's attorney got on the phone. Hairwoman and the attorney joined in a filibuster duet, the two of them talking over each other for a couple of minutes. You couldn't understand either of them, not like they were saying anything, anyway.

The folks in Georgia's 4th Congressional District must be very proud of themselves.

Rep. Cynthia McKinney (D) failed to appear at two televised debates over the weekend, fueling criticism from two opponents who are challenging the controversial incumbent in a July 18 primary in the Georgia's 4th District.

CONGRESSIONAL QUARTERLY reports: DeKalb County Commissioner Hank Johnson and architectural firm project manager John Coyne, who are challenging McKinney, debated Saturday on WSB-TV and also participated in a second debate Friday that was sponsored by the Atlanta Press Club and which will air tonight at 7 p.m. Johnson's campaign said that McKinney's absence was a "slap in the face" to her constituents.
