Julie, thank you for the heads up a couple of weeks ago and letting us do this tribute today to a very deserving candidate. Dolly, thank you for putting together Julie's words and thoughts and pictures in such a terrific way!

Katherine Harris, we first *met* you in November 2000 - what a world of thanks we owe you for standing your ground and not letting al gore and his band of thieves intimidate you then. That was a nightmare election night and the weeks that followed only got worse before President Bush was able to accept the win he should have been able to celebrate that first Tuesday night in November 2000. I wish you today the very happiest of birthdays and a landslide victory in November!

In Florida growing up and in my 20's, I used to make lemon meringue pies [from scratch, natch!] with lemons from the grove beside my house...and "store bought" key limes meringue ones..:)
