Thanks for the reminder! BUMP.
Thanks, Jim.
Just remember, though, we should rejoice every time a lib goes looney and utters something so bizaar or outrageous, they drive 1,000 more people from the "D" party to the "R" party, that's why the country is changing hues, and its getting redder all the time (despite the alledgely poor polls now being registered by GWB)
These issues are what illegal immigration is about. If we import 12 million socialist voters, we will lose on ALL of these issues.
Thanks Jim for all your work, We promise to behave.
Staying focused on what's important, bump...
Thanks, Jim!
I've been thinking about the illegal problem and I'm convinced that the left is trying to exploit it but that many Americans, particularly the older ones who vote the most are bothered by illegal immigration.
They wan't something done about it including sending people back who are here illegally. My consensus is that the border must be sealed and some real enforcement and punishment handed out. I know that we won't send all 11 million back but a few million at least need to go.
Immigrants and immigration aren't bad. This country did fine without any major immigration restrictions until the last 100 years. But there are laws and we have got to have some rule of law in this country.
If the laws against immigration aren't enforced, how can any of us respect any of the other laws. The Senate plan unfortunately does not have teeth in it.
I'm convinced that things like abortion and birth control have helped to create a labor shortage in our country and I am not hostile to allowing people in to work, but looking at the situation overall something has to be done to enforce the rule of law on immigration.
I hope that Republicans will reach a consensus along the lines I listed above and we must stay together and not let the Democrats tear us apart.
The Dems are coming out of the closet in favor of the illegals and we must make that known wherever and whenever we can.
We need a border fence, more raids and quicker deportation of large numbers of illegals. And we need some punishment of employers, too.
The people who vote the most want this done and that is the direction we must take.
Thank you for ALL you do, Jim. Hear! Hear!
Free Republic is a conservative site
Thanks Jim.
After reading your reminder maybe the freeper Republican Bushies might ease-up just a little with the attacks on us freeper conservatives.
So, Free Repulic does not support globalist policies? Genuine conservatism is incompatible with globalism. If Free Republic supports globalism, then Free Republic is really a Neo-conservative site.
In my home town, we just had a mayoral election where the incumbent, a Republican, was totally inept and was alternately trying to please everybody and waging war against fellow Republicans who opposed his big spending.
He lost by about 4% of the vote. In my opinion, this foreshadows things to come if some Republicans (most of them I daresay, almost all of them in the US Senate) don't grow some cojones and start being Republicans again.
Thanks for your post.
Thanks, Jim. I haven't been around much, but I can imagine that the immigration threads have been tough.
Thanks again for making this possible.
Well said, Jim.
It's amazing that we sometimes need such a reminder.
Thanks for the reminder Jim.
There are a lot of people here who are operating under the notion that libertarianism and conservativism are the same thing, obviously there is some overlap of principles, but there are just as many glaring differences.
A good reminder!
Thanks.
Thanks for the post. Very timely, indeed.
We stand and fight, TOGETHER.
And don't forget to pray; for our country, our leaders, and our precious troops.
