In 1998, I stood in Tienanmen Square looking at the scuff marks in the concrete the tank's tracks had left. I tried to take a photo of the marks because I felt their significance in Chinese history.
Unfortunately, when the film were developed, the marks appeared as just another shadow on the pavement.
With the passing of time, I wonder will his and the other's efforts end up as just another shadow on the pavement of China's history or are the marks for reform deeply inscribed?
