In Mexico, Catholic bishops from border cities are calling on their faithful to support the boycott by not crossing into the United States that day or buying or consuming U.S.-made products or services.

I don't think 1 day is enough.... let's try no border crossings for a year to get the full effect!

Good thought.

What would happen is the middle class boycotted the prepayment of our taxes cutting the food off to the snakes head off .

How about they give a Nov election and nobody comes or that we all write in Tom Tancrado no matter what the district or position ?

Boycotting what American Goods,mi Amigos?

Everything here is made in some foreign sweat shop-mainly Mexico.

Few are adroit enough to screw themselves as you are planning to do,except for Mexican Nationals who have perfected the art of self screwing and seem to enjoy it.

It used to never bother me one way or another if someone was Mexican.

I'm starting to rethink how I feel about them now. Where are the voices of the legal ones condemning this atrocious behavior?

The pictures of the Mexican flags and signs were disgusting!!!

They need to be permanently boycotted, all businesses need to even if that means all grocery stores shut down and I cant get anything fixed in my house. I will buy a hammer, mow my own lawn, and my neighbors if need be, and go to a local farmers market were small farmers who dont rely on illegal labor sale there wares.

ARREST CONVICT DEPORT

In 1947, amidst the anti-Communist Cold War hysteria, the U.S. Veterans of Foreign Wars renamed May 1st "Loyalty Day" and a joint session of Congress later made the pronouncement official. Loyalty Day was explicitly designed as a weapon against leftist labor tendencies, and specifically the American Communist Party, by encouraging citizens to reaffirm their commitment to the State.

The United States is one of only a very few remaining places in the world where May Day has neither official governmental sanction nor massive marches (500,000-1,000,000 people or more) in the streets on the actual day. The situation in the U.S. is particularly ironic given that it is the country in which the Haymarket Riots occurred. The adoption of May Day around the time of the Haymarket events by the worldwide socialist and communist movements as their primary holiday cements official resistance to this expression of the day in the U.S. The Government of the United States has attempted to create other holidays for the day of 1 May in order to further discourage the celebration of May Day.

Among other things, Marshall manages a web site that effectively promotes Senator John McCain and his causes. It may be interesting to people who remember the argument that the two capitalist parties are Tweedle-Dum and Tweedle-Dee, and are always looking for something better.

I thought you wanted me to say something nice about the Christian Coalition. Josh's book is called Heaven on Earth, and opening it up, I see the line from Moses Hess, 1846, from which I suspect he draws his title. “The Christian imagines the better future of the human species in the image of heavenly joy. We, on the other hand, will have this heaven on earth.” (What Hess means by “we” is the socialists.)

I'll be interested to see how many of the unions (AFL/CIO, for instance) continue to show their support by giving AFL/CIO employees the day off to protest and boycott.

From: Dick and Karen

President George W. Bush
White House
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue
Washington, D.C. 20500-0001

Subject: I'm going to Mexico

Dear President Bush:

I'm planning a trip with my family and extended family, and would like to ask you to assist me. I'm going to walk acrossthe border from the U.S. into Mexico, and I need to make a fewarrangements. I know you can help with this. Our plan is to skip all the legal stuff like visas, passports, immigration quotas and laws. I'm sure Mexico handles those things thesame way we do here. So, would you mind telling your buddy, President Vicente Fox, thatwe’re on my way? Please let him know that we will be expectingthe following:

1. Free medical care for my entire family.

2. English-speaking government bureaucrats for all services we mightneed, whether we use them or not.

3. All government forms need to be printed in English.

4. I want my kids to be taught by English-speaking teachers.

5. Schools need to include classes on American culture and history.

6. I want my kids to see the American flag flying on the top of theflag pole at their school with the Mexican flag flying lower down.

7. Please plan to feed my kids at school for both breakfast andlunch.

8. I will need a local Mexican driver's license so I can get easyaccess to government services.

9. I do not plan to have any car insurance, and I won't make anyeffort to learn local traffic laws.

10. In case one of the Mexican police officers does not get thememo from Pres. Fox to leave me alone, please be sure that allpolice officers speak English.

11. I plan to fly the U.S. flag from my house top, put flag decalson my car, and have a gigantic celebration on July 4th. I do notwant any complaints or negative comments from the neighbors.

12. I would also like to have a nice job without paying any taxes, and don't enforce any labor laws or tax laws.

13. Please tell all the people in the Mexico to be extremely niceand never say a critical word about me, or about the strain I mightplace on the economy.

14. Eventually I want to be able to vote and have all election materials
and notices sent to me in English with Spanish as a second language.

I know this is an easy request because you already do all thesethings for all the people who come to the U.S. from Mexico.

I am sure that Pres. Fox won't mind returning the favor if you ask himnicely. However, if he gives you any trouble, just invite him to go quailhunting with Vice-President Dick Cheney or a car ride with Senator Ted Kennedy.

Sincerely,

Dick and Karen
American Citizen

You may wish to pass this letter and site address along to the White House. They must hear the voice of Americans who feel enough is enough. The First Amendment has not been altered yet, so citizen comments and complaints are in our tradition. Please use it while we still can.

San Diego-based Souplantation circulated a memo, in English and Spanish, reminding its employees that unexcused absences carry the risk of being fired.

I told my son that this is a great day to go to Souplantation to get a job.

In just one sector, meat production, which has a significant Latino work force, their absence was was felt. Cattle slaughter was down 28 percent and pig slaughter 16 percent compared to the week before, according to estimates from the U.S. Agriculture Department.

Well I'll make a fair trade off and sacrifice ... I'll give up cow and pig if you go home!

If you want to boycott Mexican products you can start with the Mexican baking conglomerate Grupo Bimbo which makes Wonder Bread and other products.
Also I've heard that Mexico's richest man, Carlos Slim Helu owns Circuit City and Compusa.

So to prove they love America and just want to have a job and work hard and provide for their families...

They do the exact opposite by attempting to hurt the American economy, skipping work, blocking traffic, lifting another country's flag and not providing for their families.

Talk about dense, who's advising these people? Howard Dean? Ted kennedy? LOL

In reality it's not going to make a dent. We have hundreds of millions of people in this country that pick up the slack for everyone else. Big deal if a few hundred thousand sit out a day. We always have people taking a day off. On welfare rolls, Cindy's entourage, even paid sick leave. Big deal.

I will say, though, that my boss has told everyone if they miss work on these days they can consider themselves fired. Just another reason to respect him. :-)
