Gay parents head to Easter event
Washington Times ^ | 17 April 2006 | Joseph Curl

Dozens of homosexual parents who spent the night outside the White House on Friday will attend this morning's Easter Egg Roll on the South Lawn, and they will be joined by President Bush and first lady Laura Bush.

The homosexual parents plan no overt protest at the children's event -- no chants, no signs. But they will be wearing rainbow-colored leis to push their message that homosexual parents are equally as capable as any of raising children.

"I don't think this is a protest," said Jennifer Chrisler, executive director of the Family Pride Coalition. "Showing up, participating fully in an American tradition, showing Americans that we do exist. That in our minds isn't a protest."

The Annual Easter Egg Hunt is receiving little news coverage this year compared to past years.

Fox has barely mentioned it.

"As homosexual behavior spreads, society would eventually cease to exist."

I guess you're one of those oblivions that read an article in The Onion titled, "Homosexual recruitment drive reaches years end" and took it seriously. Homosexuality isn't "spreading" chief. It's at the same level it's always been.

Get a grip, would ya?

You can just bet real money CNN will have photo ops that make it look like ONLY homosexuals were in attendance.

So, homosexuals are discriminated against every single day of their lives.

Not by the law of the land, and how do you define "discrimination," because someone might think their behavior is perverted?

Why would anybody choose a life like that for themselves? Your blunt, thoughtless statements make no sense.

My statements may be blunt, but yours are downright ignorant! It's about selfishness and choice to act on behavior. The fact that we would even have the argument that being gay is genetic is so ridiculous and stupid it defies any logic.

I know gay people, I work with gay people, I have friends that are gay, but that does not negate the fact being gay is a CHOICE, and just asserting that being gay is genetic or you're born gay is trying to JUSTIFIY depravity and lacks a sense of credibility on par with the NY times front page.

No one is born gay, no more than anyone is born adulterous.

>>Do you notice the more time passes the more they FLAUNT their sick twisted ways upon society. Almost as if they're proud to be perverts, to listen to the lie, instead of the truth. They would rather be sick than healed. They want to be seperated from what is good, and right.<<

"Choice... right. So, homosexuals are discriminated against every single day of their lives. I DO NOT see how anybody can rectify being gay as a choice. Why would anybody CHOOSE to be seen as an "abomination" by the God of 75% of all Americans, choose to be denied benefits from a job their partner holds because the state didn't recognize their marriage as legal, choose to be thrown in jail for the sole reason that they prefer their own gender, choose to be denied the right to adopt kids of their own, choose to have their marriage licenses mean nothing, choose to be teased relentlessly throughout their high school years, choose to be bashed by people like you, choose to be the butt of entire websites devoted to denouncing their lifestyles? Why would anybody choose a life like that for themselves? Your blunt, thoughtless statements make no sense."

I'm sure that it can be difficult to be homosexual/lesbian. However, this is a group demanding radical changes in everybody and everything else. They want change in schools and have largely gotten their way (beginning in kindergarten in some states), changes in marriage, changes in the churches...but say that they cannot change. Everyone else has to change for them. They appear not to care if their demands and actions spread havoc. Why, for instance, did Eugene Robinson, the gay N.H. bishop, not decide to decline the post of bishop for the greater good of the Episcopal Church in Africa and elsewhere? I think that many people would have grudgingly respected that.
Gays tend to be extremely well-off economically. During the 1960s Civil Rights movement, there were demands for equal education, better housing, job opportunities. You don't hear that from the gay rights movement because those things are not issues for them. The fact that many are in positions of influence in the mass media and Hollywood attests to the fact that they really are not that oppressed. The most oppressed aren't allowed to speak for themselves. I could go on. Tens of millions of people don't even get enough to eat, and we hear less about them than we do about this small group with good educations, comfortable jobs and houses.

If you consider homosexuality a serious "threat" to society, you're obviously a coward.

Homosexuals are not a threat to society (they've existed in every society in history). It's militant societal re-engineers that are a threat to society.

If you don't consider this type of homosexuality a serious "threat" to society, you're obviously a raving idiot.

It is not a fact. You are presupposing. Ask your gay friends at what age they first realized they were gay. I know you'll be surprised when they unanimously say..early childhood.

and just asserting that being gay is genetic or you're born gay is trying to JUSTIFIY depravity and lacks a sense of credibility on par with the NY times front page

You could use some credibility with that close-minded statement.

Exactly, these people have a pathological need for attention. It probably stems from the same kind of mental illness that make them wish to place a penis in their rectum.

Not to mention that even if you ASSume, which would be a big ASSumption, that the families are "equal", gay "marriages" are going to have an even higher incidence of divorce (or just leaving each other because they are not marriage) and we all know that divorce is not the ideal situation for children.

Without any elaboration on your outrageously ridiculous comment, many of the gay people I know were previously MARRIED with children, it's a choice whether you want to believe it or not.

I really don't care if people were "born" gay, what matters is the behavior they wish to persue is aberrant. It is a matter of choice to follow desires which harm you and society. Not only is chosing to be gay a selfish depravity, it is a twisted, convolution of the natural order - just what evil attemps to accomplish. Gay people are not evil, nor vile, but the persuit of selfishness is, which could be attributed to all of us.

The frailty of spirit succumbs. If a person is honest with themselves they know whether or not they're acting upon convoluted selfish desire. Being gay is not about loving another human being, it's about perverse sexual behavior, eventually turning into an evil, twisted, abnormal path.

It's not? Hmmm, then why is the gay marriage thing number one on their list of wants and needs. It seems that they do want to get monogamous above everything else.

it's about perverse sexual behavior, eventually turning into an evil, twisted, abnormal path

But you just said it wasn't evil. You're starting to sound just like the people who put the Salem witches to burn at the stake.

Gay marriage is the number one thing on their list because it preserves their victim status. This is largely about attention, and how to get it. Homosexuals are rarely monogamous.

Homosexuality helped to spread AIDS throughout society, as has premarital sex and prostitution. Actions have consequences.

I wonder what the correlation between mental disease, suicide, risk taking behavior, fatherlessness, pedophilia, and homosexuality are?
