I just heard on the John Gibson radio program that Tony Snow has been offered McClellan's job at the White House. He has not made a decision but will discuss it on his radio program tomorrow.

If this is true, I sure hope he accepts. He would be great in that role.
disagreeing with Bush on some issues, has nothing to do with the constant problem of communications this white house has - on the issues the white house should be hitting out of the park (NOT the UAE ports deal and an immigration bill that contains amnesty, to take 2 examples) - McClellan is hurting the message.
A guy like Snow would be good, because he has spent time talking to real people (radio shows, blogs), so he knows what kinds of perspectives real people have. the white house communications team needs a good dose of that.
Don't think he will give up his day job so easy though. It is far easier to COMPLAIN about a problem then it is to SOLVE!!

I like McClellan, but he's always seemed too nice for the job. Tony is a completely nice guy too, but he can insult someone with such calm and class that they don't realize it until later.
Tony didn't reveal it. Apparently Gibson did.
Tony Snow does not get ruffled and handles hostility with grace in my opinion.
I really cant believe that I'm going to say this.... I think that Tony is BETTER than Rush...no easy task as a matter of fact but Tony has a way of talking to people that makes you believe and understand. He's also my TV guy. (the only people that my husband and I are allowed to dream about) : )
Yes, can you imagine David Gregory trying his little hissy fit with Tony Snow?

That's a tough call. You're probably better off personally by staying with your show. But (if this is true) your President needs you.

The problem I see is Tony, many times, would become the news and that is not the purpose of that job.

The only other person I would like to take Scott's "job", besides Tony Snow, is freeper "holdonnow", who I have asked here on FR,( AT LEAST 3 TIMES) to take Scott's place.
I would subscribe to the WH daily briefings on PPV if either of them replace Scott, which might offset any pay cuts they might have to endure......
You and I could retire if we had a buck for every allegation of that nature.
