Bail granted to Christian woman accused of blasphemy

KASUR, PAKISTAN (ANS) -- Naseem Bibi, a Christian woman charged with desecrating a poster of Khana Kaba, the Muslim holy place in Saudi Arabia was released from jail on bail on April 22 after posting surety bonds of 50,000 rupees ($832.628 USD)
According to the Pakistan Christian Post (PCP) she was arrested on March 3, 2006, under section 295 B & C of Pakistan Penal Code on Muslims’ accusations that she had desecrated a flyer of Khana Kaba.
“I love Jesus Christ too much. I often saw Him in my dreams. Jesus met me many times in my dreams and showed His love to me. That is why I have emotional attachment with Jesus Christ,” PCP quoted Naseem Bibi as telling Sohail Johnson, the coordinator of Sharing Life Ministry Pakistan.
According to the PCP report Naseem Bibi further told Sohail Johnson: “On March 3 2006 I was at my home and washing clothes. A protest march was passing in our street. My elder daughter told me that Muslim protesters are making sign of cross on the heap of garbage and hitting it with shoes. I could not control myself when I saw that Muslim protesters were desecrating cross. I shouted and quarreled with them. They were in large numbers they started to beat me.
Meanwhile someone phoned to emergency police. Heavy force of police and four vans of military came there and freed me from the clutches of fundamentals. They took me to the police station and on the same day they sent me to the jail”.
Naseem Bibi is the mother of four children. Her youngest child is only seven months.
She has taken refuge in Lahore with her husband and children for safety of life as attacks of Muslim extremists are feared if she moves to her home in Kasur district, the PCP said.

This Public Announcement updates information on the continuing threat of terrorist actions and violence against Americans and interests overseas. This supersedes the Worldwide Caution dated August 2, 2005 and expires on June 12, 2006.
The Department of State remains concerned about the continued threat of terrorist attacks, demonstrations and other violent actions against U.S. citizens and interests overseas. Ongoing events in Iraq have resulted in demonstrations and associated violence in several countries. Americans are reminded that demonstrations and rioting can occur with little or no warning.
Current information suggests that al-Qa’ida and affiliated organizations continue to plan terrorist attacks against U.S. interests in multiple regions, including Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East. These attacks may employ a wide variety of tactics to include assassinations, kidnappings, hijackings and bombings.
Extremists may elect to use conventional or non-conventional weapons, and target both official and private interests. The hotel bombings in Jordan in early November illustrate how terrorists exploit vulnerabilities associated with soft targets. Additional examples of such targets include residential areas, business offices, clubs, restaurants, places of worship, schools, public areas and locales where Americans gather in large numbers, including during holidays.
In the wake of the July 2005 London bombings and the March 2004 train attacks in Madrid, Americans are reminded of the potential for terrorists to attack public transportation systems. In addition, extremists may also select aviation and maritime services as possible targets.
U.S. citizens are strongly encouraged to maintain a high level of vigilance, be aware of local events, and take the appropriate steps to bolster their personal security. For additional information, please refer to “A Safe Trip Abroad” found at http://travel.state.gov.
U.S. Government facilities worldwide remain at a heightened state of alert. These facilities may temporarily close or periodically suspend public services to assess their security posture. In those instances, U.S. embassies and consulates will make every effort to provide emergency services to U.S. citizens. Americans abroad are urged to monitor the local news and maintain contact with the nearest U.S. embassy or consulate.
As the Department continues to develop information on any potential security threats to U.S. citizens overseas, it shares credible threat information through its Consular Information Program documents, available on the Internet at http://travel.state.gov. ARTICLE SNIPPET: "A coalition of unions and anti-capitalist groups, including Zapatista rebel leader Subcomandante Marcos, will march in Mexico on Monday to mark international labor day and to support a U.S. immigrant boycott.
Marcos, a pipe-smoking icon of the left who led a short but bloody uprising in southern Mexico in 1994, will head an anti-capitalist march from the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City.
"We will create a clearly anti-capitalist May Day and we ... are going to take the property from the (owners of) the means of production," he told union activists on Saturday.
In other marches, an array of Mexican unions will walk through the streets of the capital protesting what they call government meddling in union business and in support of Hispanics in the United States, who are expected to flood America's streets on Monday demanding amnesty for illegal immigrants."

Since the participants were coached after the initial marches where they blazenly held the mexican flag, they will no doubt march tomorrow with our American flag again (but that is not exactly where their true sentiments lie, of course).
Just like the jihadis did and continue to do, the pro-illegal invasion folks will use the freedoms and liberties of American life to their advantage. They will employ our laws, grassroots activities and nation's sensitivities to twist events in their favor so the sheeple will see them as innocents and feel sorry for them.
Soon, the press will even grace them with a neat name, perhaps something like "America's new freedom fighters." We have already seen the reports where their "plight" has been compared to that of other races and ethnicities in the past. But this is a lie. These other groups wanted to assimilate. Today, the new spate of illegals invading the country is something entirely different.
Deception is the game and it's disgusting. They will use us as the jihadis did and then laugh behind our backs at how stupid we are. And if we let them -- they will be right!

Iraqis using 'new Hizbollah bombs' to kill British troops

A multi-charged roadside bomb, developed by Hizbollah in Lebanon, is being used against British and American soldiers by Iraqi insurgents linked to Iran, according to military intelligence sources.
The device consists of an array of up to five armour-piercing "explosively formed projectiles" or EFPs, also known as shaped charges. They are fired at different angles at coalition vehicles, resulting in almost certain death for at least some of the soldiers inside.
The bombs are easier for insurgents to use because, unlike single EFP devices, they do not need to be carefully aimed and so can be planted beside a road within a few seconds. Their killing potential is also enhanced because more than one EFP is likely to hit a single vehicle.
Some have been painted to look like concrete blocks - a modification of a tactic used by Iranian-backed Hizbollah, which hollowed out imitation rocks, bought in Beirut garden centres, to conceal bombs targeting Israeli vehicles.
A senior defence source said: "There are clear signs of Iran's sinister hand, and through that, Hizbollah, in this development."

The first march from Broadway and Olympic Boulevard to City Hall from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. will have Broadway closed from Temple Street to 11th Street, prohibiting east-west traffic.
Drivers are encouraged to use Alameda Street, Figueroa Street, Flower Street and Cesar Chavez Avenue to circumvent the Broadway closure.
Another demonstration along Wilshire Boulevard from Alvarado Street to La Brea Avenue will run from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Wilshire Boulevard traffic will be diverted onto Third Street in the north and Olympic Boulevard in the south.
