2001, 2002 Iraqi Memos: SECRET NUCLEAR PROJECT (Translation)

This document CMPC-2004-000167 talks about a project that started in early 2001 by the Iraqi Atomic Energy Commission (IAEC) to use components from the previously destroyed TAMUZ (also known as OZIRAQ) Nuclear Reactor to build a Nuclear Simulator Reactor. The TAMUZ Nuclear Reactor was destroyed by an Israeli air attack in 1981. In September 2002, after almost a year and a half since the start of this Nuclear Project and when it became very clear to the Iraqi Regime that the UN inspectors were coming back to Iraq, a decision was made to stop this Nuclear Activity project. What is interesting in this document that the IAEC was warned by the Monitoring Directory within the IAEC that this Nuclear Project is prohibited by the UN resolutions however the IAEC went on with it until September 2002 only when the UN inspectors were on the verge of coming back to Iraq.
This document is yet another irrefutable proof that Saddam had never stopped his WMD activities and programs including Nuclear Program activities.

Subject: Simulation Reactor
An inspection was made to the suggested hall to build the Simulation Reactor and that contain recently laundry equipments (Laundry) and the hall was closed and the location abandoned and neglected for a long time and based on this it requires the following:
1. Remove all the laundry equipments and machines.
2. The structural division should inspect the hall and to repair and remodeling and fortify the building after determining the cost of these works.
3.Transfer the equipments and systems specialized in the control of 14 TAMUZ Reactor from storage 14a to the location of the hall and by phases.
4. Distribute the engineering and technical staff proposed for work in the project to the days of the week where engineer will be dedicated for one day.
5. Dedicate one of the technicians to fully work in the location.
6. Prepare the timeline schedule to finish the project and for the duration of a full year.

Page 11 of the document memo dated September 9 2001 that talks about the approval of Chairman of the IAEC to build the Nuclear Reactor Simulator
Now in page 7 of the document ( the order of the pages is not chronological) there is a secret memo dated May 30 2002, the Monitoring Department within the IAEC warned the IAEC that this Nuclear Program is totally prohibited by the UN resolutions.
In page 5 of the document there is a memo dated September 12 2002 asking the IAEC Engineering Department to stop working on this project because it is prohibited by the UN. Again it took the Iraqis almost a year and half to stop working on this Nuclear Project and only after they were absolutely convinced that the UN inspectors were returning to Iraq in matter of few months as they did indeed return in November 2002.

They had on an ex CIA guy...that was adamant about the "fact" that Iraq NEVER tried to get uranium from Niger...and seemed equally adamant that there was no reason to believe that Saddam had any WMDs....when Bush was contemplating going to war.

Sir, you are truly doing a great service for our country.
Many thanks.
The truth of the matter is that we knew, by that I mean that common sense and intuition told us, that Saddam had not given up his WMD programs, because that was the only way he could be a force in the region. He is a megalomaniac. He has to have the power. The WMD programs would give him that power.
You are revealing, in writing, what we knew and what the Democrats deny out of their hatred of George Bush.

Well this idiot needs to read some of the translated documents, and so do the hateful Left and their media. Even the few documents that has been translated are enough to expose all the lies that liberals and their media have been spewing for the last 3 years regarding Saddam WMD and his undisputed extremely strong connection to Terrorism.

Great work as usual J. A lot of folks probably are not aware, that when that flight of 8 F16's dropped their iron bombs on the dome of reactor I, (Tammuz I), the blast wave did not damage the much smaller reactor II (Tammuz II). Nor was any damage inflicted on the buildings within this walled off faciliteis that contained nuclear hot labs (facilities for the handling of radio isotopes), the fuel fabrication building south east of the main reactor building, machine shops which would have contained hardware and tooling for maintenance of the reactor facilities etc..
Mossad was pretty sure they had 26 pounds of highly enriched uranium was being stored in a special deep water tank to keep it from going "critical", prior to being installed into the fuel rods elements. We must remember, reactor II was on the verge of becoming active, so the Israelis took it out while the uranium was still in storage so that there would be no leaks to the neighoring area. Hell if the Muslims would have ever considered such are in an attack, to protect innocent Iraqi from radiation poisoning.
At any rate. That uranium was still around after the reactor was destroyed.
Just thought I would make these notes for Freepers to consider.
I get my info from the book BULLSEYE IRAQ which I have mentioned a number of times at this site. It's 1982 ISBN number is: 0-425-11259-4.
A very interesting account of the attack on that nuclear power plant.

You may find the book in say a large libary in Boston area. It is facinating reading. Details upon detail of how the raid was planned and how they pulled it off. And a few chapters that are so deja voue for me as I read stuff posted at FR. So many of these details about say Niger connections for obtaining yellowcake where established way back when. Key players. Why did say Portugal provide a way to sell 90 tons of yellowcake to Saddam. Key industries in the French,German,Italian sector who built up his nuclear capabilites. It simply is a great read.

NO :) however few on our side of the media are interested in these very important documents, of course beside FR and the conservative websites, Tony Snow has mentioned these documents many times on his radio show and interviewed me as well, same with Brian Suits on his talk show radio in Seattle and he already interviewed me twice.

Ernest. Good point. Better to time a real big blast that cannot be ignored. Well planed in future package delivered by the right people is the best approach. One does not want to give the L/MSM any room to play games. It has to be along the lines of a knock out punch. One cannot shadow box with them, they are to good at deceit, slick sneaky snakes, know how to avoid being stepped on. One must drill them in the head with a bullet or whack em with a shovel.

See post #37...and the book:
*******************************************************
Unholy Alliance : Radical Islam and the American Left (Hardcover)
*******************************

And a review:
****************************************
Communism is dead. Long live Islam!, September 30, 2004
It sounds absurd: why would Leftists make common cause with a religion that is diametrically opposed to everything the Left stands for? David Horowitz explains that it is really quite logical given the Left's first principle: America is evil and anything or anyone opposed to America is good.
Part I of the book is a brief history of 9/11 through the end of major combat operations in Iraq, and the Left's behavior during this time. Horowitz includes the reaction of Katha Pollitt of The Nation magazine: "The flag stands for vengeance, and jingoism, and war." Anthropology Professor Nicholas De Genova of Columbia University said he hoped for "a million Mogadishus." His colleagues objected, not to the despicable sentiment, but because of the bad publicity it brought their "teach-in." Our tax dollars at work!
Part II is the heart of the book: a history of the American and international Left. Horowitz calls them Neo-Communists or Neocoms. The Neocoms of old believed in the Soviet Union the way religious people believe in God. Those who spied for the USSR didn't see themselves as traitors to their country, but rather loyalists to humanity and an ideal of America that's never existed. When the Soviet Union fell, a few of them stopped for some introspection but most pressed on as if nothing happened. Communist historian Eric Hobsbawm put it nicely: "Without the Revolution, my life and my work are meaningless."
Now that they no longer have to defend an indefensible regime, modern Neocoms are simply nihilists. They know what they oppose but they have no plans for the aftermath of the revolution which they still believe will happen. They don't know what they want, but they know what they hate: the United States, capitalism personified.
So why are they allying with radical Islam? Horowitz says that the Neocoms still believe in Marx's dictum that "religion is the opiate of the masses." Once private property is abolished, the need for religion will vanish, and Islamic radicals will stop being Islamic and radical. The only thing standing in the way is the United States.
Sound insane? It is. They are. I highly recommend this book. Horowitz makes the insanity understandable.
