The GOP had twelve years to make Newt's vision a reality, instead they pissed it away on cheap labor.

Yeah but they and their business contributors made some great money. In the end that's really what matters to this crowd.

Hmm... not the most intellectually proficient of articles, even if it represents a sentiment that can be commended.

President Bush best wake up. His stance on immigration is presently untenable. The border gets closed or Republicans are blamed and will lose the 2006 elections. Growth of the economy be damned, America has decided that it prefers to retain its culture and wants its borders closed.

This bears repeating, again and again, until SOMETHING is done.

IMO, Democrats will do nothing, but pander, even after they win because repubs are sitting on their hands...

"Many good things happen when Americans face an issue."

Let's set a few things straight about the attention being received by the immigration issue at this point in time.

It's election-year ammunition for the Democrats.

That's all.

I find it hysterical that everyone is excited with the idea that the government has finally noticed that there is a problem, and that they are finally making an effort at fixing the problem by passing more laws they will not enforce. I guess they didn't know that millions of people had snuck into the country until just now.

Here's what someone much wiser than I had to say about that idea:

"Government is not the solution to our problem; government is the problem." -- Ronald Reagan

And he gave illegal aliens an amnesty.

The American people, by and large, are led around by the nose by whoever pushes the buttons on the dashboards of the mass propaganda dissemination machines; today illegal aliens, tomorrow $4/gl. gasoline.

Don't get excited...nothing is really going to change.

Yeah...I'm sure the Democrats are going to do something about the illegal aliens.

They'll stand on principle for America and forget about that massive voting block.

Yes it's pretty clear . The Prez was out here for a few days. Same old story , work cards , jobs that Americans will not do ,citizenship. Not 1 freaking word on border security . The Repubs will come up with a bill that the dems will block ( they are after all the majority party ) , then of course drop the border fence bomb and make the pubs look ridiculous. How much longer can we buy the mantra , we are not as bad as the dems , so vote for us. I hate to say it but the party may go down with the ship.

>>>>>>>>>>>>..........
and like most Mexican presidentes he is hated by the Mexicans..Bush is doing this for reasons that have not been told to the American public, but are well known in the halls of power and in the homes of the elites.
His dad in a moment of weakness said it in public:
" The New World Order"

....foisted on Americans by the leftist elitists and socialist school teachers in their quest for a world government...

Yeah. Right. They're the ONLY ones who have quest for a world government.

What a bunch of baloney. Every main player in this government wants that...just different means for the same ends. I really doubt I could be convinced by anyone that that is not true.

Millions of conservatives are looking to the President to do his plain duty.

I warned my friends that if they voted for Kerry they'd get a President who'd ignore the law and pander for votes. They voted for Kerry and sure enough my prediction came true.

<< Let's set a few things straight about the attention being received by the immigration issue (now). >>

You might begin by "getting straight" on and understanding that we are not discussing "immigration" here.

Immigration is an entirely separate issue and, except that its management is entrusted to a few of the most evil and to many of the most stupid and least competent people on this continenet, is getting along fine.

This thread is discussing America's Sovereign Borders and national security and the criminal-alien invasion and hostile colonization and Balkanization that is eroding that security and those borders and will, if left unchecked, destroy our nation's Language and Culture.

And you may bet on this: If the president and his as-out-of-touch with and/or contemptuous of Americans congressional party members do not respond to Americans' absolute requirement that the feral gummint defaend and protect our nation's borders and rid us of these millions of criminal alien invaders, he and they will see the loathsome and fearsome "Democrats" pick up the speakers gavel in 2007 and move into our once most hallowed house come 2009!

I have it from a pretty good source that the Border Patrol, Customs and Immigration are going to gear up for a massive crackdown on May 1st when the illegals plan to stage their petty little rants.

---------------------------------------

No. They won't. The government won't allow them to.

I agree. The government has blocked and hamstrung (deliberately) our border agencies up to now. What evidence do we have that that will change? None.

If the feds wanted to do anything, they would have rounded up some of the 1/2 million illegals marching in public with anti american signs. Was I asleep when all of the arrests took place?

Me too!

And I flew a round-trip 20,000+ miles to be here to volunteer for him and to vote.

Silly me.

The real lesson here is truth and justice always will out. ...
In the process we get a clamp put on our porous borders and to thus provide a belated deterrent to Muslim killers. ....
Many good things happen when Americans face an issue. This is just one.

Whoa nellie! Is this a pre-release of a future article, or is this guy confused? Nothing has happened anywhere remotely like this. Congress ducked the issue, and there's no indication the Senate has changed its stripes....and Bush is threatenening vetoes again!

Now, the lock-down may eventually happen, but it sure hasn't happened yet!

What the Dems have done, what was for me unthinkable, is invited George Bush to his own hanging . . .

... And George brought the rope to do the job

If they win a majority, the impeachment starts the next day.

Ooops,
Work / mexico does not compute...
