Now here is one for the record books....
Greatest Aviation Passenger Load
The greatest aviation passenger load was carried by one airliner was during the Operation Solomonî It happend on May 24,1991 carrying 1,088 passengers. Ethiopian Jews were evacuated to Israel on an El Al Boeing 747. The figure includes 2 babies that were born during the flight over.
You have got that right CindyDawg. I have a customer that is a 10 hour drive from my house and about a 1-2 hour drive from Chicago. If I look at the total round trip, I can almost always be home sooner if I drive than fly. To fly I have to drive from home --> airport, fly to Chicago, rent a car, drive to the customer, do what I have to do and then go back on the airline's schedule no matter when I am finished.
If I am driving, as soon as I am done, I am back on the way home and not being searched by some JBuT (Jack, Booted, union Thug).
I told a pilot for AA once that the airlines used to have one thing to offer and that was speed. Now that they are the greyhound of the sky and total trip time has increased, for trips under 12 hours, I have no use for the airline.
Yeah, that's the ticket, stomp a few more in before we shut the doors.
You must be flying first class. In steerage, where my flying accomodations are, the seat reclines about .75 inches, if it reclines at all.
