Hamad Mir - "Terrorists will Use Nukes in America if U.S. Bombs Iran!"
Terrorism Press COnference ^ | 4-28-06 | Bob J

Posted on 04/28/2006 9:03:39 AM PDT by Bob J

In a just concluded debate and press conference, author and FBI Consultant Paul Williams and Jeff Epstein of "America's Truth Forum" reveal they have been advised by Pakistani journalist and Bin Laden biographer Hamid Amir that Al-Qaeda will use smuggled nukes against the US if the US takes military action against Iran.

Amir established his credentials by correctly predicting that Egypt would be hit by terrorist action a full two weeks prior to the events of last week. Amir, a Pakistani journalist, has been in contact with high ranking Al-Qaeda officials for several years.

The debate (between Richard Miniter and Paul Williams) and press conference were webcast LIVE by Rightalk.com. Audio files of both events will be available for downloading by this afternoon.

"I guess 1200 years of little accomplishment as compared to the rest of the world makes them a bit insecure and thin-skinned."

The so-called "Arab World" is populated by Paclids "We look for things. Things to make us go"

You said -- "However, I'm not interested in deterrence, if this were to happen. This is a declaration of principle to the whole world so that they will understand what we do when we do it, under those specific set of circumstances. I'm not arguing for "deterring" anything after they've used nukes. I'm eliminating all possibility of anyone from there ever having the capability of setting it up again. If they're all dead, innocent and guilty, then there's no one left to make it happen."

Well, I've advocated all along a "war on Islam" -- in order to totally eliminate it from the world and make it illegal everywhere you find it. If we can't do that -- then we are going to be cursed with Islamic terrorist until "Kingdom come". And that won't be too much longer anyway...

The problem with that thinking is, they couldn't wait for the "best" time because the longer they wait they more likely it they would be caught or the operation compromised in some fashion.

If they had them, they would HAVE to use them straight away.

It depends on the trigger, and the style. Tritium is typically used. Some may even use the polonium style, but that won't last much longer.

However.. The big thing is, maybe they can be refueled by the bad powers. I bet NK has quite a bit of Tritium now.

And for a real downer, a fizzle with no 'trigger' will detonate at minimum 10x Oklahoma City's bombing.

And you know what's worse? Uranium guns like Little Boy apparently do not need neutron triggers at all. That's 10-18kt of easy power, and look at the Graple tests. A small artillery shell can contain enough Uranium for a gun-detonation and delivery 15kt.

I find it difficult to believe they won't use them as soon as they actually do get them.

Which is exactly my point - the implication of the headline is that they won't if we don't. Which is poppycock.

You said -- "I never said any US city should nuked."

There's a big concentration of Islamic terrorists in that city. If you nuke entire countries -- why not Detroit?

"If they had 'em they would have used them by now."

Agreed. When they do get them they WILL use them. Speaking of nukes, which naturally makes one think of Iran, how smart is it for an al Qaeda operative to inform the world Tehran is connected to al Qaeda during the War on Terrorism? Shame we can't just carpet bomb Tehran. It'd cut down the number of "insurgents" in Iraq.

Kinda like cutting off your nose to spite your face, no?

And we've never "nuked entire countries", so I'm not sure where that question is commin' from.

W-33 used in the T-317 atomic projectile; gun-assembly HEU weapon.
Those don't 'go bad'. Yield 5 - 10 Kt, 40 Kt (Y2). Those don't need any neutron triggers from polonium or tritium.. It just goes. Weight, 250lbs. I bet that can be moved around without much problem.

So the terrorist are just sitting on these nukes in the US and haven't used them? Ah Ha. Don't get me wrong, I believe this guy knows Osama but that doesn't mean that everything they tell them is the truth.

I'm sure there will be folks who drop into the thread to tell you how silly this whole nuke thing is--and of course, they're right: why, sneaking a nuke into this country and detonating it is every bit as outlandish a notion as flying planes into buildings.

Unless al-Qaeda has a Cray or a Blue Gene/L for simulation and testing, they would have to actually test a nuke, or overbuild and risk detection.

It is possible to spread nuclear material around, but that would be very localized, even if hidden in a conventional bomb.

But, you're free to inflate al-Qaeda's capabilities when the best they've been able to manage in the last year is to blow up a few subway cars in the London Underground.

Tehran is full of righteous people trying to throw out the mullahs and establish a democracy. You going to nuke them?

You said -- "A security official on Fox yesterday said he advises his clients that there are over three hundred mosques across America with hardened terrorist who are waiting to take action against business executives."

The Islamic terrorists are planning for a major action in the U.S. with massive acts of terrorism -- from one ocean to the other and in all major cities. It will probably be prompted by a major military move in the Middle East, with an invasion of Israel. That will probably be the time that a nuclear weapon would be set off in the U.S. Terrorists will be killing people, destroying infrastructure -- and the U.S. would be so tied up at home that it could not defend anyone in the Middle East.

That's probably a likely scenario. They *are* planning major terrorist attacks here in the U.S. -- using the Mosques as "bases of action".

there are no civilians once a nuclear war has been started by the other guys.

And you need to read your Thucydides to understand why this is the only course open to us if we wish to survive in this hypothetical situation.

If we are nuked all "modern civilized" rules are over. Done. Finished. We would be, in one bound, set back to the ethics and moral REQUIREMENTS of the year 732.

If you don't realize that than you are doomed, as well as nuts. Worse, if you argue that then you are threatening the continued existence of any human civilization, let alone "liberal democracy."

Your arguments reminds me of Kerry, Dean, Kucinich or Neville Chamberlain. "We can't even consider that! Anyone who disagrees is nut's! It just CAN'T happen. They aren't that crazy."

How many million died the last time? They didn't have a choice once they realized they were fighting monsters. And, thank God, men like Churchill and Roosevelt, didn't flinch (too much) over the question of "civilian casualties." If they did you'd be dead or speaking either Japanese or German.

The W-33 warhead has been out of service for almost 15 years.

And 250lbs. is still a lot bigger than a "suitcase".
