Beatcha!
Jinxie....while you're pinging the crowd, you may want to link kfi640 to this thread. If people are on here before John & Ken are off the air, they're playing the mexican version of OUR Star Spangled Banner.
It's enough to make your blood boil.

My list is growing. Air conditioner, mini-fridge, month of non-perishables, 2 bikes (grandkids b'days) and thinking about wife's b'day present.

On Monday May 1st, while Latino activists are encouraging other Latinos to walk out on their jobs and boycott spending in any Southland businesses, we want you to do the exact opposite. SPEND, SPEND, AND SPEND!Excellent! The more the word gets out, the more the American citizens will rumble. I'd love to see the stores PACKED on May Day. It would be known as the great American "Screw you guys".
To: NormsRevenge
I'd like to encourage people to do the flip side of spending at OPEN businesses on Monday.
On Monday, if you find a business closed, please STOP SPENDING THERE FOR A WEEK. Let them know that you do not appreciate their support of illegal activity and will show it by denying them your business.

SoCal: THE GREAT AMERICAN SPEND-A-LOT! Heads Up KFI 640am listeners! Is the point of this day to generate a high sales tax day or to generate more money transactions?
(For instance, trading stocks and paying bills electronically will move lots of money, and grocery food shopping or buying prescription drugs are new purchases, but they won't increase sales tax revenues.)

On Monday, if you find a business closedSome smaller restaurants regularly close on Mondays, since they can't rest on weekends.

I wonder if you can fax the same receipt in multiple times? Also, is this give-away open only to "legal citizens"?

Some businesses don't have a choice but to close if most (or no) workers show up. I think an automatic, knee-jerk reaction that said business owners condone the boycott would not be wise.
To: clawrence3
Also, is this give-away open only to "legal citizens"?LOL. It would be a real bitch if a foreign invader got the freebie!
"Oh no! What now? What now?"
To: clawrence3
Then the business owners should not have been hiring illegals in the first place! (It is against the law, after all.)

I'll be spending about $500 bucks on Monday. Too bad I purchased my car last month.
