Would like advice Hillary is coming to my child's school

Posted on 05/02/2006 9:20:01 PM PDT by Belleview

We were informed by my child's principal that Senators Hillary Clinton and Blanch Lincoln would be at his school for a reading program presentation. The letter said that only students and faculty could attend -- no parents or friends would be admitted. Usually the school has a real open door policy for parents.

The program will not be taped (for later viewing of parents) as Clinton's press secretary will not allow it. So I can't even review what was said or hold anyone accountable. Supposedly this event is not to be used for political purposes. So what is it for?

Would you want your child to listen to Hillary (and watch everyone treat her like royalty) at school?

I've considered not sending him to school, but I'm not sure if that is the right thing to do.

Why can't Hillary go to her own New York schools and leave our School alone? Right now I'm just hoping she cancels.

That's definitely the right thing to do.

How old's your kid? Can he do like that student in Colorado with the nutty geography teacher and tape the speech without anyone knowing?

Why on Earth would Hillary do this....without taping it...I mean, what's in it for her?

I believe that's illegal to prohibit a parent from their child's school, for any reason.

I'd keep the kid out and let them know why. There is no telling what they will say to the kids. That really pisses me off.

At my children's school, you can hold them out of anything you might find offensive, like sex ed, pg-13 movies, "stranger" videos, etc.

I'd send a note that I want my child to spend his/her time reading in the library or something.

They can't make your child be there.

I sure as heck wouldn't allow it for my children.

Send your kid to school with a T-shirt bearing the image of Rick Lazio, and the caption "Rick Was Right!"

Of course you also run the risk of your kid being roughed up by Hillary's security goons.

Tell him not to look her directly in the eyes. That way she can't put the evil eye on him.

Seriously, I would let him attend armed with your wisdom so he can be prepared.

Why the visit? Perhaps her handlers want to find out how she is around children. Children can be pretty perceptive around "cold" people. Better for them to find out now rather than during the campaign when she will not be able to limit the press coverage. </speculation>

"Supposedly this event is not to be used for political purposes. So what is it for?"

Senatress Clinton/Rodham doesn't brush her teeth in the morning without making a political calculation.

She's a crass and consciousless user of people for her own ends.

Put in your position, I'd keep my child home, raise royal he}} with the principal, school district, school board and every news outlet in town and then move the child and myself out of the place as soon as possible.

I'd definitely keep my child home. They have no business bringing in a politician to talk to your child, and then telling you that you are not allowed to hear what that politician is saying to your child. That is b***s**t.

Take a day off if necessary and take the child to a museum. Educational, family bonding and you will be safe in the knowledge that your child has missed absolutely NOTHING by avoiding St. Hillary Day.

Find the biggest cloths pin in your draw and put it on your nose before entering the school.

Some States have strict attendance standards. Depending upon the rank of the person in the School District who arranged Mrs. C's visit, your child's record may be marked with an unexcused absence.

If your desire to prevent your child from being exposed to Hillary's political blathering is stronger than your desire to make your own political statement about Hillary's presence, providing a legitimate excuse for your daughter's absence after the event may prevent future problems for your daughter with the school authorities.

She's going to try to terrorize the kids for life, saying stuff like Republicans kill puppies. Who'd know any different? The parents are banned.

I'd keep my kid home from school that day. All parents should do the same if they're not even allowed to hear the propaganda being fed to their children.

I agree with you. There is no way on this earth that I'd let a politician talk to my children without me being present. No way. Just the fact that they won't allow the parents speaks volumes. All the kids in all the classes should be kept home that day. Let her talk to the walls.

Or maybe your kid should attend and ask her some pertinent questions.
such as "Ms. Rodham, I would like to learn how to turn $2,000 into $100,000 in one day trading cattle, could you help me learn?"

Or
"Ms Rodham, what are your views about the type of people who allow Christmas trees in the White House to be decorated with condoms?"

I have experience with this.

Hillary came to my middle-school child's school six years ago. It was quite traumatic for some of the kids, due to the security men and dogs. Some students were terrified by the german shepherds and the guns prominently worn by HRC's security. I wrote a piece about it at the time.

My advice: make sure your child knows what to expect.

Hillary talking to a room of kids only. Something isn't right here.

I agree. She has those easily swayed minds all to herself, and parents will never know what their kids are told. Parents will get a second hand script, but the sneaky, dangerous parts will be left out.
Any time a parent is banned, you get stuff like the homosexual fisting class. It means parents aren't SUPPOSE to hear what's taught, because they won't like it.

How conveeenient.

Supposedly this event is not to be used for political purposes. So what is it for?

Political purposes. Or worse. Keep your precious child home. Talk about a RED flag... these people are insistent that innocent children be in their presence away from the prying/discriminating eye of parents. Sounds like something a predator would think up.

While you child is home (do you really trust the school to send him to a safe area?), you can explain to him the commie tactics of the information blackout, and that you won't trust anyone who uses those tricks, no matter how well known they are. If Hillary and her goons won't let the parents attend, they have something to hide. Hillary is a control freak, so no telling what she may do.
