This letter sent to Senator Frist from a retired border patrol agent has more common sense than all the bull being spewed from the Senate, with the exception of a few sensible representatives.
Dear Senator Frist:
There is a huge amount of propaganda and myths circulating about illegal aliens, particularly illegal Mexican, Salvadorian, Guatemalan and Honduran aliens.
1. Illegal aliens generally do NOT want U.S. citizenship. 2. There are no jobs that Americans won't do. 3. Every person who illegally entered this nation left a home. 4. Illegal aliens are NOT critical to the economy. 5. This is NOT an immigrant nation. 6. The United States is welcoming to legal immigrants. 7. There is no such thing as the "Hispanic vote". 8. Mexico is NOT a friend of the United States. 9. Although some illegal aliens enter this country for a better life, there are 6 billion people on this planet. 10. There is a labor shortage in this country. This is a lie. 11. It is racist to want secure borders. What is racist about wanting secure borders and a secure America?
Dear Senator Frist:
There is a huge amount of propaganda and myths circulating about illegal aliens, particularly illegal Mexican, Salvadorian, Guatemalan and Honduran aliens.
1. Illegal aliens generally do NOT want U.S. citizenship. Americans are very vain thinking that everybody in the world wants to be a U.S. citizen. Mexicans, and other nationalities want to remain citizens of their home countries while obtaining the benefits offered by the Unit ed States such as employment, medical care, in-state tuition, government subsidized housing and free education for their offspring. Their main attraction is employment and their loyalty usually remains at home. They want benefits earned and subsidized by middle class Americans. What illegal aliens want are benefits of American residence without paying the price.
2. There are no jobs that Americans won't do. Illegal aliens are doing jobs that Americans can't take and still support their families. Illegal aliens take low wage jobs, live dozens in a single residence home, share expenses and send money to their home country. There are no jobs that Americans won't do for a decent wage.
3. Every person who illegally entered this nation left a home. They are NOT homeless and they are NOT Americans. Some left jobs in their home countries. They come to send money to their real home as evidenced by the more than 20 billion dollars sent out of the country each year by illegal aliens. These illegal aliens knowingly and willfully entered this nation in violation of the law and therefore assumed the risk of detection and deportation. Those who brought their alien children assumed the responsibility and risk on behalf of their children.
4. Illegal aliens are NOT critical to the economy. Illegal aliens constitute less than 5% of the workforce. However, they reduce wages and benefits for lawful U.S. residents.
5. This is NOT an immigrant nation. There are 280 million native born Americans. While it is true that this nation was settled and founded by immigrants (legal immigrants), it is also true that there is not a nation on this planet that was not settled by immigrants at one time or another.
6. The United States is welcoming to legal immigrants. Illegal aliens are not immigrants by definition. The U.S. accepts more lawful immigrants every year than the rest of the world combined.
7. There is no such thing as the "Hispanic vote". Hispanics are white, brown, black and every shade in between. Hispanics are Republicans, Democrats, Anarchists, Communists, Marxists and Independents. The so-called "Hispanic vote" is a myth. Pandering to illegal aliens to get the Hispanic vote is a dead end.
8. Mexico is NOT a friend of the United States. Since 1848 Mexicans have resented the United States. During World War I Mexico allowed German Spies to operate freely in Mexico to spy on the U.S. During World War II Mexico allowed the Axis powers to spy on the U.S. from Mexico. During the Cold War Mexico allowed spies hostile to the U.S. to operate freely. The attack on the Twin Towers in 2001 was cheered and applauded all across Mexico. Today Mexican school children are taught that the U.S. stole California, Arizona, new Mexico and Texas. If you don't believe it, check out some Mexican textbooks written for their schoolchildren.
9. Although some illegal aliens enter this country for a better life, there are 6 billion people on this planet. At least 1 billion of those live on less than one dollar a day. If wanting a better life is a valid excuse to break the law and sneak into America, then let's allow those one billion to come to America and we'll turn the USA into a Third World nation overnight. Besides, there are 280 million native born Americans who want a better life. I'll bet Bill Gates and Donald Trump want a better life. When will the USA lifeboat be full? Since when is wanting a better life a good reason to trash another nation?
10. There is a labor shortage in this country. This is a lie. There are hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of American housewives, senior citizens, students, unemployed and underemployed who would gladly take jobs at a decent wage.
11. It is racist to want secure borders. What is racist about wanting secure borders and a secure America? What is racist about not wanting people to sneak into America and steal benefits we have set aside for legal aliens, senior citizens, children and other legal residents? What is it about race that entitles people to violate our laws, steal identities, and take the American Dream without paying the price?
For about four decades American politicians have refused to secure our borders and look after the welfare of middle class Americans. These politicians have been of both parties. A huge debt to American society has resulted. This debt will be satisfied and the interest will be high. There has already been riots in the streets by illegal aliens and their supporters. There will be more. You, as a politician, have a choice to offend the illegal aliens who have stolen into this country and demanded the rights afforded to U.S. citizens or to offend those of us who are stakeholders in this country. The interest will be steep either way. There will be civil unrest. There will be a reckoning. Do you have the courage to do what is right for America? Or, will you bow to the wants and needs of those who don't even have the right to remain here?
There will be a reckoning. It will come in November of this year, again in 2008 and yet again in 2010.
We will not allow America to be stolen by third world agitators and thieves.

David J. Stoddard's letter...
Ding, ding, ding! We have a winner!
Thanks, this letter deserves it's own thread. Fantastic letter.
Once we significantly reduce our dependence upon foreign oil, life is going to become very difficult for the dictators of mexico, iran, saudi arabia, and other despotic nations. I can't wait to close the door on them.
bttt
Wow, very well said. Someone better start listening.
Boy, is David correct! At least according to my recent personal, but limited, experience in Northern Virginia. It seems to me that the talented aliens are making $25 - $150/hour to do their work; they do not want to become citizens because there is no way that they can earn such good money. They have expertise in roofing, carpentry, wall board, painting, tree work, and brick work. They are polite, efficient, and good workers. Very few can speak good English. My experience is limited to the illegal aliens who want to earn their pay doing honest work.
I hope that day comes in my life time (I'm 44) but I doubt it...
Thank You
A copy of this letter should be sent to every conservative talk show host to be read on the air.

Thanks for posting, IrishMike.
God bless you, David Stoddard!
thanks for posting that letter!
I have heard many LEGAL mexican immigrants also state that 'illegals' do NOT want citizenship. One only need look at the signage to know that they believe themselves already to be legal (none of them will even use the word 'illegal'), citizens, on their own land that was stolen from them and now they have their own national anthem to go with it and they plan to take it back.and in doing so, will create an open border. Anyone who thinks that these people are going to settle for 'earning' their citizenship is, imo, wrong and clearly NOT paying attention. I've heard from interviews of 'legals' that 'illegals' want what we've got and have come to take it from us and will settle for nothing less. I've also heard in interviews that they have, in effect, declared war and that their movement will turn violent. So while our leadership are playing politics with the issue, the monster they have created has grown some caj****s, has nothing to loose, and is NOT going to take NO for an answer. Therefore, D.C. will give in on the amnesty, illegals will no longer be illegal as they begin to 'earn' their amnesty, since they are no longer 'illegal' employers who have hired them will go unpunished, and if we are lucky, a 'virtual' wall will be built and we will be forced to be satisfied with that. IMO, the only way this will not happen is if there is a 'Revolucion'.
Anyone else feel this way?
I wonder how many of them, at that salary level, getting paid cash, paying no taxes, also have wives and children who are getting medicaid, food stamps, cash assistance, housing etc., because when there is no paper trail for the husbands income, the family, in most states, qualifies for assistance.
TESTIMONY OF DAVID J. STODDARD, SUBMITTED TO U.S. SUBCOMMITTEE ON CRIMINAL JUSTICE, DRUG POLICY AND HUMAN RESOURCES, REPRESENTATIVE MARK SOUDER, CHAIRMAN.
February 22, 2002
Sirs:
My name is David J. Stoddard; I am a resident of Cochise County, Arizona. I served my country for 30 years, first as a soldier in the U.S. Army and then as U.S. Border Patrol Agent for 27 years.
I have no personal interest in illegal immigration or in U.S. drug policy except as a patriotic citizen of the United States. I am not being paid or influenced by any entity whatsoever for my testimony submitted to you this day.
There has been a great deal of debate recently over needed changes in U.S. Immigration Law. The United States has the most liberal immigration policies in the entire world. Our laws are designed to protect the American public from criminals, subversives, terrorists, disease, the insane and from those who are likely to become public charges. There are no U.S. laws designed specifically to exclude any deserving person from legally immigrating to the United States. Any person may legally immigrate unless he or she falls within an excludable class. This is for the public good. If existing laws were enforced as intended, there would be no need for new laws.
Currently the United States admits more people as immigrants, refugees and asylum seekers than all the other countries in the world combined. Right now one-fifth of the U.S. population is a foreign born or dependant child of foreign born residents. Since the 2000 Census, the population of the United States has increased by 3 million people according to the U.S. Census Bureau.
According to various Mexican media and official Mexican government sources, the country of Mexico has 18 million of its citizens residing illegally in the United States at this very minute. Mexico claims to have 30 million persons of Mexican decent in the United States. I have no reason not to believe these claims.
According to official U.S. I. & N.S. estimates, Mexicans comprise only 54% of the total number of illegal aliens within the United States. Again, I have no reason to dispute these figures. I hope this gives you some kind of perspective as to the great influence illegal immigration has upon our society.
Since I have lived and worked on the Mexican border all of my life, I am most familiar with the problems presented by illegal Mexican immigration and I would like to focus on that aspect.
-According to former Chief of Police, Ruben Ortega, 80% of the street level drug dealers in Salt Lake City, Utah are illegal Mexican Aliens. I believe we can extrapolate that percentage to any major city in the Southwest.
-According to the U.S. Bureau of Prisons, 24% of those incarcerated in the United States are foreign born, most of them Mexicans.
-According to the California State authorities, that state must build the equivalent of one grammar school a day in order to accommodate the population growth of school aged children, again, largely due to illegal immigrants, most of whom are illegal Mexicans.
I submit to you that Mexico has instituted policies which encourage its citizens to sneak into the United States.
For example:
-Mexico has discontinued the government subsidies for propane, diesel, tortillas, beans, electricity, housing, bread and commodities for poor people.
-Mexico has opened additional consulates in practically every state in the union in order to assist its citizens obtain U.S. benefits, "rights" and to assure legal help in the instances of "discrimination" in employment, law enforcement and in any other legal matter.
-Lawyers retained at the behest of Mexican officials quickly take civil action against any U.S. citizen who chooses to protect himself or his property against illegal Mexicans. This is designed to deter any interference by U.S. residents in the free flow of aliens and drugs across our borders.
-Mexican school children, from the primary grades, are taught that the United States "stole" (from Mexico) the land now called California, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Colorado and Utah. Furthermore, these children are taught that were it not for the United States "stealing" California and the gold therein, that Mexico would be a superpower today. I have heard that with my own ears. That is no exaggeration.
-The President of Mexico actively encourages its citizens to illegally emigrate to the U.S. and in fact frequently refers to those who do so as "heroes".
-I can give you the names of eight high-level Mexican politicians who have left office in the last decade with a minimum of $700 million each. These ill-gotten funds could have been used for the good of the Mexican people.
Based on the above facts, I see no reason for any change in U.S. immigration laws. But I see a great need for change in the way Mexico imposes upon the United States. The American people are expected to provide free medical care, housing, education, food and other basic needs to illegal Mexican aliens. These are all services that should be provided to our own elderly, handicapped and poor.
I do see a need to alter the way in which the United States administers its immigration laws however.
Currently the same administrator dictates enforcement and services. Under Doris Meissner, the INS became a service-oriented organization because Ms. Meissner considered all aliens, legal and illegal as her "clients". Enforcement under the U.S. Border Patrol became non-existent except for a narrow corridor along the border. This encouraged illegal aliens to keep trying until they were successful in traversing that corridor beyond which they could live and reside as long as they wish and do whatever they want, while the services branch of INS does everything it can to make their status legal. This status quo has not changed under INS Commissioner James Ziglar.
This is a schizophrenic approach, which does not, never has and never will work. The INS must be separated into two agencies, one to provide services and the other for enforcement purposes. The U.S. Border Patrol must be allowed to do its job in strict accordance to the law without regard to political correctness and without regard to state, city and local boundaries. This is the only way we can remain a sovereign nation. We cannot allow a foreign nation to dictate our immigration policy, which is the current standard. Either an alien has legally entered the United States or he has not. The legal alien is entitled to benefits and services. The others are not. Every single person who has sneaked into this country made an informed decision to violate the laws of this country and has accepted the risk of detection and deportation. None of them should be allowed to reside in the U.S. without first exiting and making a legal application for entry in order to screen for criminals, the insane, subversives, terrorists and disease.
The U.S. Border Patrol simply cannot handle its mission under present restraints. Its job is to protect the American public and preserve the sanctity of our international borders. That cannot be accomplished while our borders are over run by aliens of every nationality and while bureaucrats place unreasonable restrictions on how agents operate.
-I urge the immediate deployment of U.S. military troops and equipment on our borders to seal them against those who would cause us harm. This could be only a temporary measure to allow us to regain control to again become a sovereign nation.
-I urge the separation of the U.S. Border Patrol into a separate agency responsible for the detection, interdiction, arrest, prosecution and/or deportation of drug smugglers and illegal aliens. An experienced enforcement officer whose primary purpose is to protect America and American citizens must run this separate agency. That separate agency must have its own budget and control its own spending. This would assure that the law enforcement agency doesn't have to dance like a puppet at the whim of a non-law enforcement entity with an agenda of its own operating the purse strings. A professional law enforcement agency must be in total control of enforcement, (with Attorney General and Congressional oversight, of course), or political special interests will exercise undue influence as has been the case with the Border Patrol for the last 78 years.
I realize I cannot be more specific and detailed due to time restraints, so I respectfully submit this to you at this time.
Sincerely,
David J. Stoddard

Statement of David J. Stoddard
before the
House Subcommittee on Immigration and Claims
March 18, l999
Mr. Chairman, and distinguished members of the subcommittee, thank you for the opportunity to speak to you today. My name is Dave Stoddard, I live in Arizona and I come before you today as a U.S. Citizen, a border resident and a retired Border Patrol Agent. I have lived and worked on the Mexican Border for most of my life.
Upon receiving the invitation to speak to you, I interviewed border residents who are Mexican Americans and others who are Anglos. I also spoke to high- and low-ranking sheriff's deputies, Border Patrol officers, small- and large-scale ranchers, and residents of the interior United States. I am not alone in my observations and perceptions.
When I entered the U.S. Border Patrol in 1969, illegal aliens were mainly former braceros. They wanted to work in agriculture until the harvests were over and then return to their homes to repeat the cycle next season. They were honest, hard working, polite and otherwise law-abiding. By the middle and late seventies, illegal females and family groups of all nationalities were commonplace. Numbers of illegal aliens entering this country continued to climb and became a virtual stampede upon news of a possible amnesty in 1986. After 1986, thousands more entered hoping to take advantage of the amnesty program. Fraud was rampant, to say the least. Numbers of people illegally in our country have continued to rise dramatically. Today this country is in a crisis of catastrophic proportions. We can no longer be a receptacle of the poor, unskilled, under-educated and other individuals that other countries find burdensome. There are also those who come simply because they are unwilling to remain and fight the battles of life in their own country. The added cost to public schools, social programs, penal institutions, public services, health care and quality of life has been enormous. It has been estimated that immigration, legal and illegal, costs every American taxpayer at least $750 annually. I think the taxpayers would rather send foreign aid to other countries than have their citizens illegally in the United States adding to the poverty level and social problems.
Today the United States is undergoing a large scale invasion of Mexican, Central and South American entrants. Notice I use the term "entrants" while others may use the term "illegal immigrants". Only a small fraction of these individuals are true immigrants. They come for economic and other reasons and not to assimilate into the American way of life. They intend to remain in the United States long enough to accomplish the purpose for which they came and then to return to their country of origin. The very word "emigrant" connotes someone willing to leave loved ones, and abandon a former country in order to adopt a new country and a new way of life. The entrants of today intend to remain loyal to their homeland and assume that eventually they will be caught and removed from the United States. As an unintended consequence some put down roots, acquire equities and remain.
Not all come to work. The United States has become a home for unwed mothers. Illegal mothers receive medical attention at taxpayer expense. Then after giving birth to a U.S. citizen child, they become eligible for low income housing, welfare, food stamps, WIC and possibly other programs, all for the benefit of the child. Of course, the more children, the better the benefits. Illegal aliens seldom pay their hospital bills and the cost of their care is born by taxpayers or the paying clients of the facility.
Illegal Mexican aliens generally have the attitude that they are coming to a land that is rightfully theirs. The Mexican government officially and actively encourages its citizens to illegally enter the United States.
Aliens who enter at whatever point along the U.S.-Mexico Border and evade apprehension can travel to any place in the United States, stay for as long as they want and do whatever they want without any real fear of removal. Put more simply, the Border Patrol is nothing more than a speed bump on the way north to safety. There is little wonder that assaults and violence against officers and border residents are rising alarmingly.
There are groups all across the southwest protecting the rights of illegal aliens. These organizations intensely scrutinize the actions of any border resident or citizen who needs to use force against an illegal alien. These aliens rights groups are usually alerted by the Mexican consul after the consul has been notified of an alien injury by U.S. authorities. The Mexican government is zealous in its efforts to protect Mexican citizens in this country to the point of filing protests and retaining attorneys. Yet, border area residents rely in vain solely upon the U.S. government for protection while their constitutional right to be secure in their homes and property is being violated by citizens of foreign governments. Every day homes get ransacked, and property stolen or destroyed. Ranchers who rely upon their stock and land for a livelihood have their fences repeatedly torn down, their stock stolen or injured, their wells damaged and their vehicles stolen. Ranchers in the border area have had stock killed, property destroyed, or a fire set in retaliation for calling the Border Patrol. Border residents have been held at gunpoint or tied up while thugs from Mexico take valuables and terrorize families. The Mexican government would not tolerate this for an instant if the situation were reversed.
Illegal aliens are becoming more brazen, arrogant and violent It is impossible to separate illegal alien traffic and narcotics traffic. Mexico is doing nothing to alleviate the problems caused by its citizens. The United States is in a crisis and to allow it to continue is unacceptable.
The United States government has consistently failed to effectively address the problem of illegal immigration to this country and has no credibility in the world in respect to its immigration laws.
In 1986 the Immigration Reform Amnesty Act was enacted. The requirements of IRCA were such that hardly any illegal aliens qualified. They didn't qualify because the patterns of illegal immigration were such that aliens would enter this country for a temporary period of time and then return to their country of origin only to repeat the pattern time and gain. IRCA required applicants to show continuous residence in the U.S. by producing receipts and other documentation. Since many aliens didn't have the required residence, they couldn't qualify. The administration was embarrassed by the lack of applicants so an intense effort was made to encourage applications in spite of the lack of qualifications. A market for forged and counterfeit documents flourished. INS officials were told not to question documents too closely. Furthermore, aliens were approved who, during their interviews, said they did such impossible tasks as pick strawberries from trees. Word quickly spread throughout the illegal alien community, and in foreign countries, that INS would accept false documents and not attempt to uncover fraud. In a short time IRCA precipitated class action suits, injunctions and extensions that made it a farce.
As a social consequence of IRCA, since many Mexican citizens are naturalizing as U.S. citizens, Mexico passed a law retroactively giving dual citizenship to Mexicans who naturalize as U.S. citizens. Furthermore, people born in the United States of a Mexican National parent can also be a dual citizen under this law. Also, a spouse of such a derivative Mexican citizen can apply for and be granted Mexican citizenship. Therefore, I, having married a first generation U.S. citizen of a Mexican parent, can apply for and be granted Mexican citizenship. The result is that Mexican nationals who become U.S. citizens retain their loyalty to Mexico and can vote in Mexican elections. My concern is that millions of people in the United States can vote in Mexican elections on issues affecting Mexico, and those same people will vote in U.S. elections on issues affecting Mexico. Proposition 187 in California is an example of the conflict of interest that can arise. Mexico is now considering methods to allow dual citizens to vote in Mexican elections without their having to leave the United States to do so. America's national sovereignty will suffer if this is allowed to happen.
Prior to the 1996 elections the Clinton administration was too eager to naturalize thousands of immigrants in time to vote democratically in the upcoming elections. Consequently, INS naturalized many, possibly thousands, of unqualified aliens in a hurried and frequently fraudulent manner. The agency allowed outside contractors to administer tests whose priority was quantity and not quality.
Also, during the last Cuban boatlift, the Attorney General of the United States, Janet Reno, announced on national television that not one Cuban picked up at sea would ever set foot onto U.S. soil. Quietly and without fanfare, every Cuban held at Guantanamo (all of which had been picked up at sea) was brought to the United States and released. This act was widely publicized in Mexico.
Other than Mexican aliens (OTM) when apprehended by immigration officers, are processed and released other than being held for removal. They are released with documents allowing them to remain in the United States, supposedly temporarily. That rewards illegal entry and encourages others to do the same. The odds of their ever being removed are small. This too erodes credibility.
Many immigration laws passed by Congress, in some way, rewards illegal entrants thereby contradicting the position that the United States is against illegal entry.
In 1997 President Clinton promised the President of Mexico that there would be no "mass" deportations during his administration. This was taken as an invitation by many different nationalities.
Compounding the above facts is the recent decision of INS not to arrest domiciled aliens in the interior, in blatant disregard of its mandates from Congress, while those who wait to legally immigrate are punished by an INS unwilling or unable to effectively respond to either enforcement or service functions but is stagnant somewhere in between.
There is no small wonder that the United States immigration policy is in shambles and has no credibility.
The morale in the U.S. Border Patrol is at an all time low. Although the agency has increased in strength from around 1200 agents when I entered on duty to almost 9,000 today, it is not allowed to do its job. There is a belief that funds which are allocated by Congress for the Border Patrol somehow are not used for their intended purpose. In the Tucson Sector there are 3 helicopters which don't fly at night, the time of day when they are needed most. There are 15 sets of night vision devices for a crew of 1000 agents. On a smaller scale, Naco station has two sets of night vision devices for 60 agents. One set does not work. There are no permanent checkpoints in Tucson Sector thereby allowing a corridor for movement of aliens into the interior United States through Arizona. Agents are endangered by poor radio communications due to a lack of frequencies. Sensor equipment is incomplete, outdated or dysfunctional.
Yuma Sector is unable to continuously man its critical checkpoints to deter smuggling.
The fact is that the U.S. Border Patrol has been and will apparently continue to be, the bastard child of INS.
The INS Commissioner is incompetent, while the top 10 managers in her administration are inept and devoid of enforcement or INS experience. (There may be an ex-military policemen within the top 10 managers, but I don't consider being an MP as real federal enforcement experience.) The primary objectives of INS seems to be geared towards service and not offending Mexico rather than protecting the integrity of the United States from foreign invaders.
For the good of the country INS must be competently managed and restructured. Or, INS must be disbanded and its functions assumed by other agencies. I personally recommend the plan submitted by Susan Martin and the U.S. Commission on Immigration Reform. I cannot believe that it would take 3 to 5 years to implement, but if so, we must begin reform at some point and now is a good time.
The U.S. immigration laws already in effect, if conscientiously and humanely enforced, would be effective. For the good of the country they must be enforced, in spite of the shrill cries and objections of special interest groups. Immigration enforcement is not a race issue, it is not xenophobic, it is not unpatriotic, and it is not inhumane. It is a matter of national security. The vast majority of the American people want our immigration laws enforced. This includes millions of Mexican Americans who are seeing increased crime, overpopulation in their neighborhoods, and lowered standard of living.
A viable illegal alien abatement program must contain these elements:
1. Control at the borders, along coastlines and at Ports of Entry.
2. Detection and removal of domiciled aliens.
3. Enforcement of the employer sanctions provisions of the law.
4. An effective anti-smuggling program.
5. Fraud and false document detection.
6. Credibility.
I am now ready to answer any questions to the best of my ability.

Are Illegal Aliens a Privileged Class?
By David J. Stoddard
I challenge any of you to take an unregistered, unlicensed, uninsured automobile onto our highways. Do something stupid like change lanes without signaling in front of one of our state cops.
Now, let's really make it interesting. Drive on the highway in an unlicensed automobile with no insurance and no driver's license and no identification.
See how fast you end up with your vehicle confiscated, and a stack of citations that would make IRS forms seem like child's play. (You may even in up in jail.)
Do you think everybody on our highways is treated equally? Wrong!
Illegal aliens, even without any form of identification, are merely cited and released, if they are cited at all. Cops are reluctant to cite illegal aliens. If the alien doesn't show up to court, the state has to serve a warrant. Cops are loath to attempt to serve a warrant on Jose Rodriguez who was Javier Madrigal in Acapulco yesterday and will be Jaime Garcia in Chicago tomorrow.
So....no citation, just a wink and a nod or at worst get issued citations with the privilege of continuing on down the highway in an unlicensed vehicle, driven by an unlicensed driver with no insurance.
A few years ago there was a big stink sent up by Mexico because Port officials where checking Mexicans at the Ports for seat belts and Arizona Automobile insurance. The practice stopped. Now, if you are so unfortunate as to get into an accident with a car bearing Mexican license plates you most likely will need your uninsured motorist coverage on your own insurance and the other driver will be cited and released never to be seen until you appear in a civil court having to prove that you are not at fault and that you don't have to pay his disability payments for the rest of his life.
How would you like to finance a home? You will need to fill out numerous forms listing your social security number; present and past addresses and a myriad of otherwise private and personal data before you will even be CONSIDERED for a mortgage.
Now the Federal Government is behind an effort to assure that "migrants" are able to buy homes even if they have no credit history and are able to present ONLY a Taxpayer Identification number. Never mind that they are here illegally and should be deported. TIN's are issued upon request. IRS cares not about the origin of the applicant, nor is any background check performed. nor does IRS care whether the correct name has been given. Our senior citizens and native-born poverty-stricken are denied housing and financing while foreigners who sneaked into this country are given privileges.
Do you live in a nice neighborhood? Do you keep your yard well? Did you buy your home because the neighborhood is clean and the neighbors well behaved? Did you have a reasonable expectation that your property would appreciate or at least retain its value?
In San Rafael, California, there was a ordinance that prohibited junk cars in residential neighborhoods. Illegal aliens love old cars. If the alien is in an accident, he can just bail out and leave the car. If, for some reason, the car is confiscated, it is no big loss. If the illegal alien can drive the car until it no longer runs, the car is still good. Parts can be removed from the old car and it is still good. It is better if it is unregistered. It is better yet if it is still registered to a former owner two or three owners removed. The old car can be used to store anything. If nobody knows who owns it, the car can be used to store dope, guns, food stamps, stolen goods and whatever will fit into it. There are no rental fees or storage charges. Illegal aliens had the perfect deniability.
San Rafael did not enforce its ordinance against "abandoned" cars until residents began to complain. When the city began to crack down on the old cars on city streets, the illegal alien advocates complained. They said it was "racist". They said it was a "cultural" thing that is perfectly alright. The illegal alien cheerleaders won. The city fathers backed down. The illegal aliens won. The neighborhoods look like junkyards, but nobody wants to be a "racist".
The city of Costa Mesa, California has an ordinance against farm animals kept in the city. Illegal aliens are keeping goats, chickens and no doubt other animals in their back yards. On weekends loud Mexican music echo through the neighborhoods while goats are slaughtered in back yards. Clothes hang on fences in front yards. Corn grows on former lawns. Garages have been converted into apartments without bathrooms or kitchens. One and two bedroom apartments hold three or more families. But, hey! Let's not enforce any of those "racist" ordinances or require any of those "Anglo conceived" permits. After all, we must practice "cultural relativity". We must adapt to the mores, culture and politics of those sneaking across our borders or we are "intolerant", "xenophobes" and "not good global citizens".
I dare you to open a church in your home. Hang a sign out advertising Sunday services. I dare you to open a small business in your garage. Either endeavor will bring you citations, orders to cease and desist and fines. Government thugs will visit you to see if you have the proper "business license and zoning". But, if you are an illegal alien, you can park a junk car in front of your apartment to use as storage for illegal drugs and guns.
You can pack a family of 10 into your garage and charge them rent. You can raise a goat in your backyard.
The City of Los Angeles likes to set up "roadblocks" to check motorists for insurance and driver licenses. But, these roadblocks must not be set up before 10PM. Too many illegal aliens driving home from work were being inconvenienced between 4PM and 7PM.
What if you have a sudden illness? You go to the nearest emergency room and if you are fortunate enough to have a good friend or a family member with you, your financial history, assets, insurance card, social security number and other information is taken by a hospital worker while your insurance company is consulted to see if they will pay the costs. If you are uninsured or the insurance won't pay for certain treatment. You may still get the treatment you need if you take out a loan or make a deal with the hospital to put up your assets as collateral.
If you are an illegal alien, you don't even have to give your correct name. You will get all the treatment you need. You will get follow-up care and medication at no cost to you. Hospital personnel won't even notify the Border Patrol. The medical community will give you first class service, while a senior citizen waiting in the lobby has to choose between food and medication. The hospital will even fly the illegal alien to another facility while the U.S. citizen whose insurance won't pay has to find alternative transportation. (This happened to me a few years ago. I showed up at Sierra Vista Community Hospital with severe chest pain. After many tests the doctors found that my left lung was filled with blood. They agreed that I had a pulmonary embolism and should be evacuated to Tucson. However, for some reason unknown to me to this day, I had to get to Tucson on my own. My wife drove me to Dorado Hospital in Tucson where I remained for 10 days. On the way to Tucson I was coughing up blood and every bump in the road felt like I was getting kicked in the chest. Had I been an illegal alien, I would have been flown in a helicopter.)
I became aware a few years ago of an incident in Phoenix in which several illegal aliens were discovered walking across a vacant lot at night carrying AK-47's. The Phoenix P.D. called INS which didn't respond. The police officers released the aliens with the AK-47's because nobody could determine alienage and the AK-47's were not reported stolen. It is a violation of federal law for an illegal alien to buy or be in the possession of a firearm. (ANY kind of firearm.) If the aliens were Egyptians, Kosovars or even Canadians, they would have been interviewed and detained by I&NS. But, they were Mexicans. Everybody knows that Mexicans are just looking for a better life. So..they were released and presumably are still in Phoenix with their AK-47's.
Every night armed Mexicans cross our borders with dope and sometimes fully automatic weapons. Most of the time, these armed smugglers cross public land. Do you ever hear of BLM or Forest Service Treehugger Rangers arresting them for carrying a weapon on federal land? Do these treehuggers even try to detect and arrest armed foreigners on public lands? (That's rhetorical. In my 30 years of government service, I've never known of a case in which Cactus Cops, Treehuggers, or Fish Petters have arrested anyone except U.S. Citizens on public land with a firearm. In every case, that I know, of a U.S. Citizen being arrested on public land with a firearm, the "violation" was either accidental or committed in ignorance of the zealous way in which our green police protect the public.)
What happened to the 2nd Amendment? Chris Simcox had a CCW. As I understand it, the weapon he had was in a holster in plain sight, although he could have carried it concealed if he wanted.
Chris was taken down at gunpoint like a common criminal and charged with several violations, among them being on public land without a "special use" permit. I own the public land. You own the public land. It is legal to walk down the streets of Sierra Vista with a .38 strapped to your hip. Yet, if you set foot onto "public" land where armed traffickers, bandits and other thugs are known to frequent, (and operate with de-facto impunity), you can be arrested for having the means to protect yourself as per your Constitutional right.
Additionally, I defy you to go onto BLM or Forest Service land. (Be sure to go during daylight hours so you won't encounter any of the privileged class with packages of white powder.) Do something really crass like empty your ashtray in the parking lot or throw out some bubble gum wrappers. Some clown wearing a tan and green uniform and a puny little badge will come UNGLUED. You will have committed the unpardonable sin.
But, while you are on that "public" land, take a look around at the papers, feces, clothing, empty bottles and other debris left behind by illegal aliens. When was the last time you heard of an illegal alien being punished for creating an environmental disaster on OUR public land that is so zealously guarded against you, me and those dastardly radicals who actually want to carry a handgun while enjoying the great outdoors?
When was the last time one of our great politicians lodged a complaint with the Government of Mexico about Mexicans turning our public lands one of the greatest hazardous waste dumps in this century? When was the last time you heard the Mexican Government complain to the U.S. Government about U.S. Citizens carrying guns onto OUR public property? Let me see. Was it yesterday? The day before?
Are you a property owner? Do you have valuable equipment on your property? Do you have a diamond in your house? If Fred Barnes tried to break into your house, you could intercept him and hold him at gunpoint until police arrive. Burglary is a felony. Fred having committed felony in your presence entitles you to make a citizen's arrest of Fred Barnes and detain him for the real cops. You may not beat up on Fred Barnes but you may "use the amount of force necessary to make the arrest". If you encountered Fred before he has had an opportunity to burglarize, you could order him to leave your property and if he refuses, he has committed a criminal trespass, a felony. Theoretically, since criminal trespass is a felony, you could still make a legal citizen's arrest under Arizona State Law.
However, take the identical set of circumstances above and change the name to Jose Pacheco-Medina who sneaked into the United States last night. If you detain Mr. Pacheco, or if you prevent him from leaving or touch him in any way, you could be opening yourself up to criminal charges for Threatening, Kidnapping, Assault, Intimidating or practically any other asinine charge the liberals can think of. For certain, you will be reported to the U.S. Attorney's Office and the Mexican Consul. The Mexican Consul will demand criminal charges against you and will turn the case over to a civil attorney who will file a civil case on you. If you don't win, you will still be bankrupt and wishing you had just let the Mexican have whatever he wanted.
Do you have a dependant wanting to attend college? You can send the "child" wherever you want. If it is at an institution in Arizona, you will likely have the privilege of paying "in-state" tuition. If the college is in another state, you certainly will pay "out-of-state" tuition. However, the child of an illegal alien, who is an alien himself, can get a break in many states and pay as if he or she is a legal resident of that state. However, your child who was born and raised in the United States, and you, who may have served in the U.S. military, paid taxes all your life, has tremendous equities and by any definition is a stakeholder in America, will pay the higher tuition rate in another state than someone who isn't even entitled to live and remain here.
When I was a teenager, I worked in a grocery store. To do so, I had to go to the County Health Department and get issued a "Food Handler's Card". I didn't actually prepare any food for anybody. I just stacked cans and boxed groceries.
When was the last time you ate in a restaurant? If you were away from the border area, you likely ate food that was prepared by an illegal alien. You ate from dishes likely washed by an illegal alien. Do you think they actually pay attention to the sign in the bathroom that says, "Lave las manos despues de usar el bano"? Do you think the County Health Department inspected the illegal alien kitchen help for T.B.? Intestinal parasites? Hepatitis? Chagas Disease? Do you think the illegal alien who likely came from an ejido with an outdoor privy has accustomed himself to actually washing his hands after using the toilet? Next time you go to Tucson or Phoenix, or even in Sierra Vista and decide to eat in a restaurant, please enjoy your salad.
Are illegal aliens a protected class? It appears so. No longer is there a benefit for being a U.S. citizen. Illegal aliens, particularly illegal Mexican aliens, can have all the benefits of being a U.S. citizen without even being a legal resident. They can even vote very easily and without consequence.
Speaking of being a legal resident, why bother going through all the paperwork and hassle of getting an immigrant visa? Just sneak across the border, get free medical treatment, free education for your kid, the U.S. government will give you the means of purchasing a home of your own, the State will give you benefits that have been set aside for our senior citizens and poverty stricken, the cops won't hassle you and the U.S. government won't bother to kick you out. Even if you are insane, disease ridden, criminal, unable to support yourself and want to "reconquer" this land for Mexico. Jim Kolbe will make it impossible for you to be arrested and deported. If he can't do it by crippling the Border Patrol's enforcement efforts, he will do it by making you a "guestworker" who never has to go home and who can bring in his entire family.
Is this a good country or what?
Are illegal Mexican Aliens a protected species in the United States?
You decide!

Investigators: Terrorist Alley
Illegals from terrorist nations are crossing the border into Arizona.
Tom McNamara and the Eyewitness News 4 Investigators have spent the last three months talking to experts and eyewitnesses.
The stories are compelling and the evidence is frightening, and just this week, Colorado Congressman Tom Tancredo released a report showing that the problem is worse than anyone thought.
Here's what the Eyewitness News 4 Investigators uncovered.
"It's a Muslim prayer blanket. It was found about a mile and a half west from the Douglas port of entry in 2001."
Larry Vance is a rancher who lives near the U.S.-Mexico border in Douglas, Arizona.
For years, he says he's watched - and documented - thousands of illegals crossing the border and running away to eventual arrest... or freedom and anonymity somewhere in this country.
And in just one hour, during this stake-out along the border between Douglas and b\Bisbee, The Investigators count 198 illegals in five different groups crossing into the U.S. with no resistance.
Watch as they huddle in the bushes, then climb thru a few strands of barbed wire and run for freedom.
We called Border Patrol and waited another full hour, but no one ever came.
Later, we checked Border Patrol logs which note agents being dispatched following our call, but also note those agents found no signs of activity in the area.
In recent years, Vance says, the evidence some illegals leave behind is alarming.
Vance says, "Other log books, diary-type things, other bits and pieces of paper with Arabic written on them found in the area over the last few years
We've all heard of the U.S. government's Terror Watch List: countries flagged because Americans are endangered by their citizens, yet regularly, illegals from those countries are crossing the Arizona border, blending in with groups of Mexican and South American illegal immigrants.
If apprehended, they are brought to this federal detention center in Florence, Arizona.
The investigators found that on this day, several individuals of this kind were being detained here, including some from Sudan, Iran, and even Iraq.
These are just the ones who were caught.
These detainees are called 'other than Mexicans' or OTM's. Most will eventually be sent back to their home country.
But some disappear very quickly, usually before they even reach this center or other holding facilities. They're taken away by tight-lipped federal agents to who-knows-where.
Who are they? They're called 'Special Interest Aliens" or "SIA."
According to Ben Anderson, a retired U.S. Army Colonel, The SIA that they don't want to talk about. That's special interest alien. These are people from those countries that we consider terrorist threats."
Anderson is a retired U.S. Army Colonel who tracks illegal immigration from his home in Sierra Vista, Arizona. He has a website sharing his research into Special Interest Aliens.
"You will not read about that. You will not hear about that. They will not talk about that. They will not provide that info to the press
Colonel Anderson says these Special Interest Aliens originate in the Middle East or Northeast Asia. They travel through Spain to what's called the tri-border area of Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay, then, to Mexico City.
They pay to learn Spanish language skills, and by the time they reach the U.S., they're acting and talking like Mexicans to fool border agents.
And, Anderson says, they're entering the United States right through our backyard. "This is the main alley. It's called "Cocaine Alley" or "Terrorist Alley." Whatever you want to call it, Arizona is the prime place."
Cochise County is the center. It's the point of gravitus, center of gravity for all illegals," says Anderson.
Anderson says some Special Interest Aliens are well-funded. paying tens of thousands of dollars to be smuggled into this country. They manage to get passports from non-terrorist nations.
And here's the shocking part: if they are caught, they are often released on their own recognizance, never to be seen again.
According to Retired Border Patrol Agent David Stoddard, "There are Middle Easterners coming across the border as we speak."
Stoddard agrees with Anderson. Stoddard spent 17 years as a Border Patrol agent and supervisor in the Tucson Sector before retiring.
"What's scary is that I can show you places out here on the line right now where 18-wheelers can be driven across."
"These 18-wheelers can be loaded with anything -- illegal aliens, atomic weapons, whatever."
Stoddard says Americans would be shocked if they knew just how many people from all over the world are getting into this country across the Arizona border. And he says we're even less safe from terrorism today than we were before 9/11.
Take for example, the capture of terrorist suspect Jose Padilla. The Justice Department says Padilla and an accomplice planned to enter the U.S. thru Mexico to blow up apartment buildings in major cities, like New York.
Or the case of suspected al-Qaeda sleeper agent Mohammed Junaid Babar.
Babar has told investigators of a scheme to smuggle terrorists across the Mexican border. He's tied to a terror plot to carry out bombings and assassinations in London.
And the Tombstone Tumbleweed newspaper reports that in June, 53 Middle Eastern men were apprehended by Border Patrol agents near Willcox.
It's believed they were from Iran or Syria.
Stoddard says, "It's the ones who are sneaking into our country under cover of darkness between our ports of entry that concern me and should concern every American.
Border Patrol Council President T.J. Bonner says, "You don't know what is getting by you unless you come across, as you said, small pieces of evidence, remnants of things that give you clues, that not everybody is coming across from mexico looking for a job."
Bonner knows exactly who and what current agents are uncovering along our border and he has a dire warning:
"It's only a matter of time before another terrorist attack occurs, unfortunately.
Some in Congress are starting to take notice of the threat. Colorado Congressman Tom Tancredo released a report that revealed a 50% increase in OTMs, illegals Other Than Mexicans, crossing the border.
Tancredo says some illegals from terrorist nations are paying as much as $50,000 to be smuggled in. He says they're not paying that kind of money simply to work at a 7/11.
Good Read,
Congtats on your many accomplishments.
Illegals is probably THE biggest issue for me. Prior to voting I will be reviewing every candidates record on illegals. No matter what party they're in. If they can't close a border they can't have my vote.
You are not alone.
I would think that many are taking advantage of our liberal approach to spending tax dollars on social assistance. Why would folks receiving all of those benefits want to become a legal citizen and join in paying their fair share of the tax burden? Liberalism indeed is a mental disorder!

Lost my train of thought ????
Great letter that Senator Frist will never read. Just how many letters do you think they read? It's obvious that they don't.
This problem crosses party lines with over 70 percent wanting something done yet they do NOTHING.
THANKS for posting this. It is exactly what I have told my senators, Dole and Burr, but they aren't listening.
According to that thread, Senator Frist has sent out an e-mail concerning the (non)-vote in the Senate on immigration reform. The below is a spoof-cum-rejoinder. Frist's original email (if genuine) is in italics, my response in regular typeface:
This morning Democrat obstruction dealt a serious blow to Americas border security and to Americas national security.
This morning spineless Senatorial leadership in conjunction with RINOs dealt a serious blow to Americas border security and to the election chances of the Republican party.
Several weeks ago, I introduced an enforcement first border security bill the Secure Americas Borders Act that would have greatly increased the number of border security agents, that would have built physical barriers in high traffic areas and utilized remote sensors and UAVs elsewhere, that would have provided for real workplace enforcement.
Several months ago, the United States House of Representatives had already passed an enforcement first border security bill that would have enlisted the US military and local law enforcement to help secure the borders of United States, which would have built a fence across portions of the US border with Mexico, and would have required employers to verify the legal status of their workers.
But I knew that 44 Democrat Senators would use every means at their disposal to obstruct an enforcement first approach. And I recognized that we must deal with the 11-12 million illegal immigrants currently living in America today.
As indicated by recent polling data, almost 75% of all Americans who remain opposed to amnestay (oops, Freudian slip!), feared that spineless Republicans would cave to pressure from globalists, business lobbyists, and massive street protests across the country by illegal aliens (who by definition are incapable of voting). By submitting a red carpet bill on immigration, as indicated by both the McCain-Kennedy bill and the Hagel-Martinez monstrosity, and rejecting the Sessions-Nelson bill, the Senate Republicans --phonies without cojones-- proved that they were NOT up to the challenge of responsible governance.
So I helped broker an agreement that would have coupled the strong border security and interior enforcement provisions of my Secure Americas Borders Act with a temporary worker plan that gave those immigrants whove been here for longer than five years the opportunity to gain legal status but only by beginning at the end of the line, behind those millions around the world who want to come to America honestly and legally. And only if they kept a job, learned English and American history, passed a national security and criminal background check, and paid a fine and back taxes. Those who had been here less than five years would have been required to leave the country, with only some allowed back in.
So, acting in accordance with the expressed wishes of the President, I helped craft a sellout which was as close to the Gold Card fiasco described by columnist Michelle Malkin as I felt I could get away with. This plan would allow all of the aliens currently in the United States to gain temporary legal status, with a clear path to citizenship. This is because, with 11 million illegal aliens already in the United States, we will not have time to distinguish which ones have been here five years from those who have been here five minutes. And the promise of requiring aliens to learn English, and to learn American history is doubtful as well we currently dont even require this of high school students who are already citizens. We hope to sound tough by speaking of fines and back taxes, but many of the illegals dont even pay for their own medical care. Their fines will be paid by their employers and passed on to American consumers, or add to the ever-growing National Debt. We feel confident that the American people will not remember that even some of the 9-11 hijackers had already overstayed their visas, without consequences.
Yet Democrats led by Harry Reid and provoked by the far left of their party decided to cripple this compromise legislation by refusing to allow us to vote on several crucial amendments amendments that would have greatly strengthened the border security and enforcement provisions of the compromise bill. Over 300 amendments had been filed and the Democrats refused to let the Senate vote on virtually any of them. Here are a few of those amendments on which the Democrats blocked a vote:
Yet Democrats such as Hillary Clinton and others are starting to run to the right of the Republican Party on this issue, whether they mean it sincerely or not. For example, in the bill passed by the House of Representatives, the provision to make illegal entry into the United States a felony was adopted by more Democrats than Republicans. The idea that the Democrats kept useful amendments from the bill is hogwash, because as Senate Majority leader I could have started with the sensible Sessions-Nelson bill, instead of the abomination which was reported out of Arlen Specters committee.
Here are some of the amendments which should have been in the bill in the first place:
An amendment by Senators Kyl and Cornyn, which would have prevented illegal immigrants who had been convicted of felonies such as burglary; involuntary manslaughter; and assault and battery from getting green cards
An amendment by Senators Kyl and Cornyn, which would have prevented illegal immigrants who had been convicted of felonies such as burglary, involuntary manslaughter, and assault and battery from getting green cards. It is a shame that the laws are not already enforced. If they had been, Mary Nagle would have been alive todayand her relatives would not have had to listen to her rapist and murderer describing her torture and death to them, on her own cell phonewhile her body was still warm. He was another Central American immigrant who had overstayed his visa.
An amendment by Senator Isakson, which would have prevented the creation of any new temporary worker program until the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security certified that our border is secure An amendment by Senator Dorgan, which would have made the temporary worker program truly temporary by refusing to provide green cards to future temporary workers .
An amendment by Senator Isakson, which would have prevented the creation of any new temporary worker program until the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security certified that our border is secure. Unfortunately, this would have done nothing to prevent unscrupulous employers from continuing to hire illegals just as they are today, while the Department of Homeland Security bought more duct tape and conducted strip searches of wheelchair-bound grandmothers, in their effort to secure the borders from accusations of racial profiling.
An amendment by Senator Ensign, which would have allowed the National Guard to help secure the border
An amendment by Senator Ensign, which would have allowed the National Guard to help secure the borderthose few members of the National Guard who are not in Iraq, that is. And did the amendment express any sense of where the money for the Guardsmen would come from, in this time of ballooning national debt?
Because of the Democrats stubborn obstruction of these amendments, the Senate will not be able to pass border security and immigration reform at this time. We will not have 15,000 new border patrol agents. We will not expand the program of expedited removal for illegal aliens caught at our border. We will not have a nationwide, mandatory verification program for hiring workers.
Because of the cowardice of the Republican leadership, even in the face of overwhelming bipartisan support from the good folks back home, and the clear leadership of the House of Representatives, the Senate will not be able to take the lead in securing the border, or in assuring the continued success of the United States middle class.
More to follow in the days ahead.
Much more whining and posturing to follow until the 2006 election. Vote for Us!
Listening and hearing are two different things.
The more people like you tell these clowns your view on this boycott/illegal/immigration issue, though they hear but not listen, listen and not hear (- initially) .....
there will come a stage where they realize that the majority of Americans are against legalizing illegality.
We the people, for the people, by the people .............
IT'S our COUNTRY.
This email is from a retired former teacher friend whose wife is a teacher in the Riverside area, and has been for many, many years. The attached is first hand knowledge...
As you all listen to the news about the student protests over illegal immigration there are some things that you should be aware of. My wife is in charge of the English-as-a-second-language department at large southern California high school, which is designated a Title 1 school, meaning that its students average lower socio-economic and income levels.
Most of the schools you are hearing about, South Gate High, Bell Gardens, Huntington Park, etc. where these students are protesting, are also Title 1 schools.
My wife tells me that 100% of the students in her school and other Title 1 schools are on the free breakfast, free lunch program. When I say free breakfast I'm not talking a glass of milk and roll... but a full breakfast and cereal bar with fruits and juices that would make a Marriott proud. The waste of this food is monumental, with trays and trays of it being dumped in the trash uneaten.
She estimates that well over 50% of these students are obese or at least moderately overweight.
About 75% or more DO have cell phones.
The school also provides day care centers for the unwed teenage pregnant girls (some as young as 13) so they can attend class without the inconvenience of having to arrange for baby-sitters or having family watch their kids.
She was ordered to spend $700,000 on her department or risk losing funding for the upcoming year even though there was little need for anything; her budget was already substantial. She ended up buying new computers for their computer learning center; half of which, one month later, have been carved with graffiti by the appreciative students who obviously feel humbled and grateful to have a free education in America.
She has had to intervene several times for young and substitute teachers whose classes consist of many illegal immigrant students here in the country less then 3 months who raised so much hell with the female teachers, calling them Putas? whores and throwing things that the teachers were in tears.
Free medical, free education, free food, day care etc., etc., etc. Is it any wonder they feel entitled to not only be in this country but to demand rights, privileges and entitlements? To my conservative friends: I hope you're really proud of how George W. Bush has helped to sell-out this country with his pro-illegal policy. I voted for him too, but on this issue he is a disaster.
To my bleeding-heart liberal friends who want to point out how much these illegal immigrants contribute to our society because they LIKE their gardener and housekeeper and they like to pay less for tomatoes: spend some time in the real world of illegal immigration and see the TRUE costs.
Higher insurance, Medical facilities closing, higher medical costs, more crime, lower standards of education in our schools, overcrowding, new diseases etc., etc., etc. For me, I'll pay more for tomatoes.
We need to wake up. The guest worker program will be a disaster because we won't have the guts to enforce it. Does anyone in their right mind really think they will leave and return voluntarily?
There are many hardworking Hispanic/American citizens that contribute to our country and many that I consider my true friends. We should encourage and accept those Hispanics who have done it the right and legal way. It does, however, have everything to do with culture: A third-world culture that does not value education, that accepts children getting pregnant and dropping out of school by 15 and that refuses to assimilate ... and an American culture that has become so weak and politically correct that we don't have the will to do anything about it. If this makes your blood boil, as it did mine, forward this to everyone you know.

DEPORT ALL ILLEGALS! WAKE UP PRESIDENT BUSH, YOUR COUNTRY NEEDS YOU!
Must read! Excellent, concise, to the point.
Will suits in DC pay attention? They should, but I fear they won't.
This letter should be sent to the White House and every member of Congress!
Another must read. He gave that statement 4 years ago. The suits aren't listening.
I'm disgusted.
I don't know. I think Americans of all stripes are fed up with oil.

The pols have given 7 amnesties to illegals since 1986! They already know they have messed up and dropped the ball!! Should be an interesting election...
After 4 years, obviously they are not listening. Quite the contrary, they are talking about another amnesty!!
