One of the heroes of Flight 93, now immortalized in "United 93," the stunning new film about the tragedy, long believed he would die young and had told his wife that his death would be in some way connected to the White House.

Some analysts believe the terrorists had hijacked United 93 to strike the White House. In a startling interview with Michael H. Brown, publisher of Spirit Daily, Deena Burnett, widow of the Flight 93 passenger Thomas Burnett, recalled that both she and her husband had premonitions about Tom's early death.

"and here we are not even 5 years after 9/11 with a multi-million dollar grossing movie exploitation."

So you object to the making of Flight 93? If so, how much time should pass before a movie is made about a historical event?

With the very short and rather bland posting history, and the liberal talking point repeated verbatim, our friend does make one want to start sniffing the air for the smell of ozone.

The problem with premonitions is you don't hear about all those who have premonitions that don't come true. For instance, throughout my twenties I had a 'premonition' that I would not reach the age of 30, and that I would die beneath a car in some foreign nation. I actually had a vivid image of it and mentioned it a number of times, in a joking manner. Well, I'm still here.

I did have a nasty car accident at age 25, fwiw, but it sure wasn't what I visualized beforehand. Actually, I remember nothing about it since I blacked out well before, but the circumstances were nothing like what I imagined regardless, and the location was as unforeign as it could get for me (up the street from my parent's house).

Sometimes you just know. You don't know how you know or what your know, you just know. I don't think it is a premonition, but just a sense of something changing.

My great grandmother used to dream she would get a telephone call from someone at night--whoever called her in those dreams was the next one top go.

I used to pray at night "Please God!! Don't make me call Bigmama tonight!"

Well unless EVERY cent goes to the families of the 9/11 victims(and I don't believe any is going to them), then this is exploiting their pain to make a profit.

I don't know what you're talking about. They didn't have a son. It was the husband who died - just like he thought he would.

I doubly don't see this as any kind of a "premonition". They didn't die. It was their son.

Which "they" do you mean? Deena claims that Tom & Deena both had premonitions about Tom's death. Tom died. They had no son.

I saw some documentary about the people that died in the World Trade Center. It seems to me it was a black couple and the widow said something about her husband having a dream that night of being trapped? Can't remember all the details--maybe someone else saw that as well and can expound on it.

They were totally involved in the making of the film. All of them. They were the ones who decided the timing of it.

So maybe you should try to convince them they're being exploited. They demonstrably don't think so.

I misread it.

Still the "Spirit Daily" and this kind of HINDSIGHT doesn't cut it with me. This is looking for notoriety and pushing ungodly things.

Thatcher,

You are telling me that all 3000 families were involved? Hard to believe.

Did you sign up this week just to tell us all what we may and may not watch, at the expense of victims you determine? Go back to DU.

PS. And if I had died in an auto accident, especially if it was at age 29 in the winter, there's no doubt everyone in my family would be talking about my remarkable premonition.

I misread it.

I still don't buy it. Hindsight is great especially when a movie emerges about this flight ... their just looking for additional notoriety.

Colorcountry I am probably going to see the movie myself this weekend. But I will pay to see Ice Age instead so the makers of this movie don't get any of my money.

Sure they would. It would be an even juicier family story if your wife had the same premonition and you had doubled your life insurance prior to the accident.

"I mean Spielberg waited 50 years before profiting from the Holocaust, and here we are not even 5 years after 9/11 with a multi-million dollar grossing movie exploitation."

I don't see that as a premonition. It is what it is. Having the right product at the right time $$$$. He lucked out $$$$.
