A 10-year-old Coral Springs girl won't be allowed to sing a controversial President Bush-bashing ballad at her school talent show after her principal deemed it inappropriate and too political.

The song, Dear Mr. President, performed and co-written by the singer Pink, criticizes the president for the war in Iraq and other policies, including his stance on gay rights.

A principal interested more in education than political statements and or correctness.

You know, the funny part is that someone thought this was news in the first place.

Why should a 10 year old know about homosexuals anyway?

Nancy Shoul, a teacher of Spanish at Coconut Creek High and a veteran of more than two decades in Broward public schools, said there would probably be no issue if her daughter wanted to sing the song in middle or high school.

It seems the moonbat parents not only want to indoctrinate their kids at a younger and younger age but everyone elses too. Sounds like this principal has some common sense.

I grew up in Coral Springs and it's an upper middle class snobhole in line with Westchester NY, Cherry Hill NJ and Berkeley CA. Lots of New York and NJ a-holes who think they know everything. Nothing like self hating white liberals who feel guilty for getting lucky in "Life's lottery" and feel it necessary to step out of their Lexus 470's in with their Prada bags and Abercrombie t-shirts to bash the rich "redneck" Republican. I'm am a converted Jew and you never dated a Jewish girl from Coral Springs, my gosh talk about a life of misery in the waiting.

When I was in school, none of us would have even considered doing such a thing about ANY president. More telling is the fact that none of our teachers, no matter how liberal would have allowed it.

I feel sorry for this poor girl whose mind is being brainwashed by her fruity parents.

Mindful of the Fairness Doctrine, I would have no problem with the girl singing...provided a Pro-Life, Anti-Homsex, drill-ANWR, kill the IslamoFacist song of equal length would be presented as well. My 13-year-old girl could probably come up with something, if they pay the airfare.

Ah, but it is news -- to the Sun-Sentinel -- "furthering of the liberal agenda" type news.

The reporter even makes his/her own argument, prints the lyrics and claims the song does not mention abortion, contradicting a quoted school district spokeswoman.

The reporter then quotes the line "What kind of father would take his own daughter's rights away?"

Golly gee, I wonder what that line might possibly mean?

And, of course, the ACLU is all over it. In Broward, it's a safe bet the principal will have to either reverse the decision or lose her job.

Why? Because they are taught this garbage starting in kindergarten.

And that's my point. They have forced homosexuality on our children, against our wishes, and there isn't anything we can do to stop them, other than get your kids out of public schools.

Sorry to the posters who think this is appropriate. After reading the lyrics, no way should a 10 year old sing this in a school sponosored activity.

It is a hateful, disrespectful ad-hominem attack on the President. "...whiskey and cocaine..." indeed.

If it were something along the lines of "you have made the wrong choices" or "as an American I expect something different" maybe, but "pave the road to Hell"?

If I said Hell at the age of 10, my mom or dad would have smacked me on the cheek and told me to watch my language.

You are absolutely right. Unions, teachers, courts and government officials are teamed up against morally conservative parents.

I live in Coral Springs and have for 15 years,my wife has been here for 25yrs, this description of MY city is a bunch of C$%*. I am one of the leaders in a Bible believing Church, I own a mortgage business here, I am a baseball coach for the city, my 15 year old son was one of the student representitives for the National Day of Prayer yesterday. There is a strong conservative, christian base here. I live in Clay Shaws district. We are not perfect and yes we are a very prosperous and upscale yuppieville. We do have the dubious distinction of being one of the cities that ATTA (one of the hijackers who is in HELL now) lived in.
