U.S. tipping Mexico to Minuteman patrols (telling the Mexican government)
Daily Bulletin ^ | 5/9/2006 | Sara A Carter

Posted on 05/09/2006 6:21:25 AM PDT by IrishMike

While Minuteman civilian patrols are keeping an eye out for illegal border crossers, the U.S. Border Patrol is keeping an eye out for Minutemen -- and telling the Mexican government where they are. According to three documents on the Mexican Secretary of Foreign Relations Web site, the U.S. Border Patrol is to notify the Mexican government as to the location of Minutemen and other civilian border patrol groups when they participate in apprehending illegal immigrants -- and if and when violence is used against border crossers.

A U.S. Customs and Border Protection spokesman confirmed the notification process, describing it as a standard procedure meant to reassure the Mexican government that migrants' rights are being observed.

"It's not a secret where the Minuteman volunteers are going to be," Mario Martinez said Monday.

"This ... simply makes two basic statements -- that we will not allow any lawlessness of any type, and that if an alien is encountered by a Minuteman or arrested by the Minuteman, then we will allow that government to interview the person."

Minuteman members were not so sanguine about the arrangement, however, saying that reporting their location to Mexican officials nullifies their effectiveness along the border and could endanger their lives.

"Now we know why it seemed like Mexican officials knew where we were all the time," said Chris Simcox, founder of the Minuteman Civil Defense Corps. "It's unbelievable that our own government agency is sending intelligence to another country. They are sending intelligence to a nation where corruption runs rampant, and that could be getting into the hands of criminal cartels.

"They just basically endangered the lives of American people."

I share your frustration but no on needs to tell you that with Hillary peaking at 45-46% to go third party plays directly into her hands. So if you want to elect Hillary be my guest. But then don't complain.

Hillary!™'s not running this year.

One could reasonably argue that having the 'rats gridlock Congress for a couple years could shine more light on the Cockroach who would be Queen...

Off Topic-

In addition to being pissed at Bush over this you can thank your Pro-abortion friends. Since we have aborted 50 million of our own citizens, they have to be replaced somehow to prevent economic collapse. One dead American is replaced by a Mexican.

I sent this to Drudge and as soon as I clicked the SUBMIT button it was the top story on the page. Glad to hear others are keeping Matt informed. Now let's get the MSM to start talking about this story so we can hear the government's explanation. Maybe Tony Snow can put a happy face on it.

"...any and all not supporting a third party will be the Anti-American traitors."

Now, you make sure you point out that you speak for yourself. Because I'll be damned if I'll ever waste a vote on a loser and hand it all over to the rats. I don't know where the hell you get off calling someone else a traitor, when you'd drop your own party because you can't have everything you want all the time.

Once again do you have that spare $ 500 million in your back pocket to make all this happen?

The money of angry voters not going to the RNC and DNC would likely suffice :>}

>>This is outrageous! Our government has no business telling foreign governments of U.S. citizens' movements.<<

Don't worry, President Bush will put a stop to this.

HA HA HA!

I made a funny.

Well, the mods just took the other thread out of "Breaking News". Don't want too many people seeing how fed up many of us are with this Administration. They'll probably move this one to chat next.

It's gonna be a shocker like the Reagan landslide. We'll hear, "How did the GOP lose control? No one I knew was unhappy with the party."

You'd better teach your children to speak Spanish. In Azlan English only will be fatal.

Yeah, that is very much a push poll.

And still, a surprisingly large number of us, members of a group of the strongest supporters of the Administration, refused to be pushed into giving the preordained answer.

How "normal" people will vote in a real election is an exercise left to the pundits...

"and, having said that, a Gore or a Kerry would have been infintely worse on all counts."

I don't know about that, Jeff. after having followed politics for over 30 years, two things hold true.

1) Republicans are great fighters as underdogs, so I doubt if a moron like Kerry could have done all that much damage.

2) Republicans are lost in the sauce when they have power(Ronald Reagan exception). Bush is hell bent to destroy our language and culture!!

"Since we have aborted 50 million of our own citizens, they have to be replaced somehow to prevent economic collapse"

Flawed argument. We have an immigration process that we can fine tune to meet the needs of our country. That is not what these criminals are marching through our streets for. They are marching for the right to come and go as they please outside of our legal immigration system. That is what conservatives are fired up about.
