Really, I'm not, although I can certainly understand why you might reach that conclusion.
I feel some threats are more deadly to America than others. Speaking only for myself, I consider the illegal alien issue to be just as important as the WOT because the battle is taking place here rather than offshore. The Integrated North America scheme is also dangerous to America to the extent it negatively affects American sovereignty, secure borders, and the preservation of American culture, customs, traditions and the English language--these are loyal American conservative values, and there will be no compromises on them--none.

You're right. The ever-shrinking bases that both political parties can claim will show up. About 42% of the adult population bothered to show up in 2002.
That percentage will likely drop this year, continuing the trend that has been going on more or less since the 1960's.

Perhaps you need to recalculate . . .
1. It appears that a majority or near majority of the Sentate is frequently to almost always on the side of the NWO on every issue.
2. That more or less 33% of the citizens are duped, deluded, gah gah, clueless, marching in pied piper adoration of the likes of Shrillery, Scuba Teddy, Puhlousy, Reid, Boxerface, and other NWO standard bearers. And McChurian is alarmingly often in their ranks on this or that issue.
3. The MSM is rather wholesale under the NWO's control and spouts the Marxist/NWO party line 99.9999% of the time.
4. The Universities have been under their control for decades
5. and much of K-12 in most areas are rather fully under their control.
6. They have an alarming number of infiltrated fellow travelers even in our beloved military.
7. The international conglomerates appear to be mostly to almost, if not totally controled by their folks.
8. The international trade organizations
9. as well as some of the international aid organizations appear to be under their heavy control.
10. Klintoons insured that a major chunk of the judges are under their influence/control.
11. Hollyweed has been peddling their fare for decades a major percentage of the time, probably well over 55% of the time.
12. Major Christian denominations have come under their influence and spout their values and priorities more than half the time to all the time.
13. Many unions are wholesale under their influence/control.
14. It almost always appears that the CIA is rather wholesale under their control.
15. The State Department appears to have been under their control for decades.
16. Major chunks, spheres of The Arts have been wholesale under their influence and control for decades.
17. The UN is clearly their baby and so was the League of Nations before it.
18. They appear to have a stranglehold on many, probably most, if not all significant black ops projects.
19. Book publishing still has a good number of patriotic titles coming out thanks to fierce conservatives here and there but major publishing houses are wholesale under the strong armed control of the NWO folks.
20. Science teaching, publishing and research is wholesale under their control.
21. Religious life in the USA has been restricted more and more severely with each passing year because of their efforts--and that's been the case for decades.
22. Philosophical/spiritual values in the body politic have become rather wholesale the nihlism of the NWO folks.
So . . . Perhaps you are right . . . But in some respects, the civil war has been going on for decades and the NWO folks have been winning most of the battles in the body politic.
The dreadful fact is that they have done so with too many patriots blind, lazy, uninformed, uncaring, uninvolved, passive and clueless. Praise God for JimRob and FR; for Focus on The Family; for Phyllis Schaffley et al. Some still lay their lives and fortunes on the line for God, right and our Republic.
But too often, the NWO folks get away with defining words, defining the debate, distracting and a host of other Machiavellian techniques and strategies that carry the battle their way before a lot of patriots realize there's even an issue worth bothering about.
Many folks have had dreams and visions of the civil war but see it mixed in with attacks by Russia and China. I have long felt that if and when the civil war came, it would be neighbor against neighbor, brother against brother, parent against child etc. The battle lines are far from simple North vs South these days.
In many respects, I think FR and our plucky fierce General JimRob are a major force in the civil war of values that's been going on for decades.
I suspect, though, that the NWO folks will do mostly under-the-radar work that fools most citizens until they can mostly present a fait-acompli to the citizens and the world wherein it becomes obvious that any fighting more vigorous than with words would be fuitile. And then they'll forbid all contrary words.
In any case, we have FR and our lives and substance available now. We best be alert and energetic in the 2006 election to preserve and hopefully advance what influence we have in the body politic. We certainly must do that or 2008 will be a hideous rout by her unroyal lowness, her hideous heinous--Bw*tch Shrillery Antoinette de Fosterizer de Marx de Machiavelli de Stalin . . . de Sade.

Contrary to what may appear to be the case most of the time, I do appreciate the validity of what you say.
However, as someone who tries to spend significant time converting the unwashed clueless liberal idiot heathen . . .
It depends on the individuals involved and the context. In the college adjunct office . . . probably 85-95% of my colleagues are flaming liberals. Some of them give pause and ponder a bit more--evidently BECAUSE of my strident off-the-wall polemics.
Others, I adjust my tone and wording for.
But hereon . . . hey--it's family--gotta let my hair down somewhere. Gotta have somewhere to rant and rave so I can play sane out in the conventional world.
There is no doubt that George $oreA$$ and his many pseudo non profits financed the mass street marches on 1 May. Many of the illegal aliens marching carried professionally done signs in English. Signs that many of them could not read. Millions of $'s were probably spent on the coordination of the rabble in the street, signs and manipulation of the MSM.
If $inator Hildebea$t becomes president, we can kiss Free Republic goodbye and any other conservative voice/site goodbye. Then, we can kiss America goodbye. Our children and grandchildren will inherit a cruel world because we lost sight of the real enemies, which Jim has clued us in again in this critical thread.

I hate the feeling that even too many wonderful FREEPERS and certainly far too many conservative nonFREEPERS are underestimating the risk involving Bw*tch Shrillery. I think they underestimate the energy, fierceness, corrupt games, money etc. of Shrillery's support groups.

And he's plenty potent in how he spends his money so destructively against our Republic; against right and good; in behalf of the global government; in behalf of destructive drug abuse; in behalf of the abuse of children. He's as evil or near it, as Shrillery.
And he's firmly supportive of her candidacy.
President Reagan faced down the Soviets and ended the cold war, but the Beast is still with us. It simply changes form. Whether it appears in the form of Bolshevism, Nazism, fascism, communism, Islamofascism, etc, it is the same enemy: Totalitarianism. The all powerful state.
