Because a bunch of posters here think it's no big deal that a foreign country is exporting is poorest and most vulnerable citizens to our Nation. Also because a whole bunch of party big wigs, including the President, think it's no big deal either. In fact most of them think we're a bunch of ignorant, racist, redneck rubes that's why.

Hasn't that always been the case? The U.S. has always received the "poorest and most vulnerable citizens" whether it was poor Germans seeking better economic opportunities in the 1800's, "vulnerable" Puritans fleeing England for their lives in the 1600's, "poor" Irish who didn't want to starve to death in the Potato Famine, Eastern Europeans fleeing the Iron Curtain, and now poor Mexicans seeking a better life. Do you think that if any of the previously mentioned countries shared a border with the U.S. their citizens would not be trying to enter the same way as the Mexicans are?

Matter of fact, although they don't share a border, they still do try to enter, usually through Canada. I'm an equal-opportunity illegal immigrant basher--we have the right to know who is coming into our country, and to say how many can enter, and I don't care which country of origin it is.
