I would not advise willingly giving up the majority even for one term. We may lose it forever. We're going to have a hard enough time holding the line as it is. Best try to hold on to every seat we can possibly salvage... (well, except for McCain's. That one is unsalvagable). Wishful thinking, but maybe some of them can be picked off in the primaries.

IF we are truly that close then we have lost it. By that I mean if the voters in a party can not afford to discipline it's candidates and elected then the fight has done been lost. The elected have no reason whatsoever to do right any longer. I hope the GOP leadership is sweating the November election real good right now. If they aren't then they're stupid indeed. So far I see nothing to indicate a concern in Washington. It's business as usual.

The biggest risk we stand right now with Hillary Clinton is a creation by the wrongs of the GOP. Hillary Clinton is far more dangerous today than she was in 2000 but then so is George Bush and any other future POTUS under the programs the congress gave POTUS since 2001. We didn't need the Patriot ACT, Department of Homeland Security, CFR, liberal interpretations of the NSA, plus a few more powers that has been given. Did you know that A.G. Gonzales is now wanting all Internet users surfing records collected to a data base? He is using a ridiculous excuse to do it. Yes indeed Kiddie Porn is sick and IMO the pushers of it should be strung from a tree till death. They want them fine. Get some cops on the Internet and use some common sense and they'll likely find that or perps hitting on kids on it. Yes even in the Department of Homeland Security there are perps. I see this ultimately as a tool to be used against us to silence political dissent.

The current state of the undisciplined GOP worries me more than a DEM majority at this point. This is because it still gives the Liberals a functional majority as they have now. I'm not talking about in party number I'm talking about agenda. The Liberals are setting it at this point. I'm pretty certain that IF both houses were lost the GOP would either return to a pre-1995 platform and actually fight or they would finally fall. The first would be highly preferred that they change and fight. If they do so things will still be OK. There's the next election cycle to work on. The second is not the end of the nation either. It's opportunity to take back our government via a Conservative Constitution based replacement. Had that not been done in our history there would be no GOP.

Quite frankly if the GOP leadership would act like leaders tomorrow morning doing what it takes to do Conservatives work even against POTUS I would be tickled to death. It would be great to just for a day not read about the GOP pushing some insane liberal agenda making cause for needed letters to congress {than never get read} and a 20 point blood pressure rise. There are no real easy answers at this point except to obey conscience.

I don't know about you but my conscience does not allow me to help Hillary Clinton and her minions.
