I agree. What good are new laws when the old ones are just fine but aren't enforced.

Also need to take away incentives ie: social services, medical, school. There should be no benefit to breaking OUR laws.

Tell the President, Govenors, Congress, and your reps.

I think that would go a long way toward solving the problem. I would especially go after employers who hire illegals as a cheap source of labor.

I have already written DeWine---gotten back a mealy-mouthed explanation letter---but will write again.

This was a REAL letter, not a form letter, so WRITE. Believe me, 500,000 letters from Ohioans would go far to move this guy.

I agree that the laws must be enforced, but the first step is a mental alignment.
We - and Mexico - must agree that the two countries are separate entities; that the border is a real and defined geographic, cultural, linguistic, economic, and political boundary; and that no right exists either in law or fact to cross the border without the consent of the government of either state.
